Great quality professional suiting I never thought about Lands End as a place to buy a professional suit but to my surprise, I found this washable blazer and matching skirt, in navy. It is a very dark navy blue and looks very sharp. The material and cut is good looking and this suit compares with professional suits I've bought at Pendleton's and Brooks Brothers. Especially good is that it's not cut too slim but it manages to avoid being boxy. I dont' know how they do that but I appreciate it. I intend to buy the set in black, as well. I wore the blue suit to a court appearance the other day. May 23, 2013
Awesome traditional style blazer / suit jacket This is an awesome, traditional style suit jacket is a lightweight tropical wool. Matched with the plain front washable wool comfort trousers, it reminds me of the suits I used to buy from Austin Reed. Fabulous! January 7, 2013
Professional jacket, nice fit Lands End suits are reliably well made. This is a great all-season suit that I'm sure I'll get a lot of use out of. I wish it was cut in a slightly less matronly way, but overall it fits nicely and looks professional. Hopefully Land's end will be adding to their suit offerings--maybe in a pinstripe? :) May 29, 2013
Good - not great I was really glad that I read the reviews on this before I bought it and that I got the larger of the two sizes that I was considering since I'm in between sizes. The fit still seemed a bit small but that's because the sleeves are skinny. It actually fits me perfectly across the shoulders. It just fits over my long sleeve oxford shirts. The spandex makes it have a little give which is nice so despite that skinny sleeves it doesn't feel really restrictive. I like that it's lighter weight than my other blazer and doesn't have padded shoulders. It's also nice that it's washable so I'm more likely to wear it and not have to worry about having to get it cleaned like I do with my other one It should be noted that the "pockets" are fake. It would have been nice to have a place to stash the car key without having to carry a purse. January 6, 2013
Odd cut, very tight in arms I've worn Lands End suits for years. This past year has been surprisingly strange in that all new products fit differently from past years. Same sizes ordered but either way to small or too large. This is an example. Ordered in my usual size and it was very tight in the arms and shoulders. Given that all of my older blazers still fit fine and I have not changed physically, I never know what size to order anymore. December 23, 2012
I haven't washed it yet, but other than that, it's a great jacket I am a bit puzzled by some of the negative comments. The jacket fits maybe just a *bit* small, but just a tiny bit - nowhere near as small as some previous posters have mentioned. Maybe this is because I bought a tall? Anyway, I love it, it fits great, and it has some nice little touches (e.g., the carefully fitted lining and the hidden pocket). And it comes in talls, a rarity for jackets. BTW, unlike some other posters, I also really like the buttons on the cuffs, but to each her own. I am curious to see how it turns out after a wash, but so far, I am extremely pleased with it. My only complaint is that I wish it came in more colors. December 14, 2011
Nice fit, professional appearance This jacket was exactly what I wanted in a jacket. It is professional looking and fits nicely. I didn't like the row of buttons close together on the sleeve, otherwise perfect! November 13, 2011
Sizing is incorrect; fit is at least 2 sizes too small While I like the lightweight fabric and the styling is fine, the sizing & fit were a shock. I tried to put the jacket on and couldn't even get my arms in the sleeves. I checked the tag, thinking that possibly the Lands End distribution center inadvertently sent the wrong size; indeed I did order my correct size. The sizing is WAY off and fits 2-3 sizes smaller than the measurements indicated on the Lands End size chart. Usually Lands End is so reliable with their sizing for all of their products, but this blazer is a big disappointment. October 23, 2011
Great Concept, Poor Tailoring Details count, and this blazer clearly shows how one poorly planned detail can make what could have been a nice blazer look like...well, a K-mart special. (Perhaps I shouldn't be so surprised, though I had thought the parent company was going to try to preserve the high-quality image of the Land's End brand.) There are four buttons on the sleeves, which are crowded and overlap messily. Compounding this error is the presence of very large faux buttonholes next to each button, badly sewn, and causing the interfacing to ripple. Didn't the designer notice that many blazers simply have a row of decorative buttons? -- a shortcut that preserves the integrity of the sleeve in addition to cutting costs. January 17, 2011
Good quality blazer, poor fit Was really excited to purchase this blazer, especially after I read that it fit small, as land's end clothing is usually very large on me. I bought both the blazer and the pants to wear as a suit, and while the quality seems really good, the fit is weird. I'm a size 2petite as most stores, so that's what I bought- while it's true to size for me (for once!!), the fit is just odd- the blazer is boxy and not at all flattering and the straight pants also don't fit well. They have a huge gap in the waist, and the fit on the hips is not flattering, but this may just be because of my figure. The curvy fit maybe a better idea..This suit is going back. January 3, 2011
