Perfect fit and very comfortable!
I ordered this dress even though I saw it in the store and wasn't really impressed by the way it looked. I ordered a petite size and was very impressed! The dress looks like it was made for me. I love the wide straps so I can wear a decent bra with it. The dress is fitted without being too tight. The waist of the dress hits at the narrowest part of my waist and the pattern hides any lumps, so it is very slimming. I ordered it just as a dress I could wear when I wanted to look a little nicer without being too dressed up and this dress fills that role perfectly.

Cute dress, but maybe not for petite...
I liked the dress; the style and design of fabric is very flattering. However, even the petite was too long in the torso. I would have had to have the seams in the shoulders taken in at least two inches to make it fit in the bust. Since khaki is not my favorite color, I didn't think it was worth paying for the alteration. I sent it back. I'm 5'2' and usually petite dresses fit my frame, so I'm surprised this fit was so off.

Does not fit right.
Cute dress and love the material over the usual knits that Land's End offers. However, the dress did not fit right through the bust area. It gaped and pulled in the wrong places even though the overall size was correct. I sent it back because I knew I wouldn't wear it.

Weird seam across the front!
I was really excited about this dress. Loved how light the dress was, loved the print, loved that you could actually wear a bra with it. But it is cut very square and sewn as though the top half was made first and then attached to the bottom half. With a noticeable seam right across the middle, effectively dividing your body in half and giving a very boxy and unflattering shape. Nothing "slimming" about this dress! Very disappointed :(

Perfect for Race Day
I bought this dress to wear to the Ky Oaks race, the "Lillies for the Fillies." This dress was perfect for a very long busy day. I paired it with a coral necklace, as the stripe in the dress is more of a pinkish red than a true red, and of course, a fabulous hat. I'm 5' 7", 160 lbs and bought the size 12. It fit perfectly and did not require alterations. I also paired it with the belt shown in the catalog, to better define the waist. I received complements on the dress all day long.
Land's End knocked it out of the ball park with this one. I highly recommend!

This dress is poorly constructed.
This dress is very pretty. I love the fabric and the length of the dress. Would have been a perfect dress for summer unfortunately the dress I received is very poorly constructed. The side zipper is sewn in crooked and the material being cut on the bias is stretched on this side giving the dress a lumpy unflattering look. The other side of the dress lies flat and fits correctly. Maybe this particular dress missed inspection. I would consider ordering another dress just to see but you know longer have my size. Seems like all your dresses sold out quickly this year.
