Because we make it extra comfortable with a contoured EVA footbed with a soft micro-suede cover. The upper is supple full-grain leather or supple nappa leather to gently follow the shape of your foot. And the adjustable ankle strap has an elastic insert for added “give.” Wear-resistant rubber outsole. Imported.

This version is a full size smaller than the slide!
Disappointed! I ordered the slide and the sandle with the ankle strap. This sandle is so much smaller in size than the slide! The base is about 3/4" shorter and the straps are much tighter. Even with the buckle on the last hole, it feels like I put my size 10 feet into a size 8 shoe. I normally wear a straight size 10 in most LE shoes, so I'm very disappointed. I love the slides. I wish they came in more colors. I wish this slide fit.

Hurt my feet, returned to store.
I don't wear shoes that hurt my feet and I refuse to "break them in". I don't think they were leather so I'm not sure they would "break in". I returned them to the store.

These sandals fit well, are very comfortable and are stylish too.
I bought these sandals for my daughter. She is very pleased with the color, fit and style of the shoes.
She wears them to work and after work and is very happy with them.

Great, Comfortable Sandal
I bought these sandals in the gun metal color. I really love the color. It goes with everything. The sandals are so comfortable and fit perfectly. I usually wear either an 8 1/2 or 9 and I bought the 9. They are great for doing a lot of walking on vacation or any where in the summer. Love them!

Feet slide up in them
I like the style, but my feet kept sliding up to the front when I walked in them. Not comfortable at all because of the contoured footbed, which, when not walking, was otherwise very comfortable. Maybe that means they were too wide? Unfortunately, they went back.

The design of these sandals is lovely, but...
...I have narrow feet and there was too much room at the front of the sandals. I had no choice but to send them back. Really a shame as I like the design very much. Could Lands' End accommodate optional narrow fittings for sandals? Shoes are ok, sandals can be a challenge.

Nice Looking But Not Comfortable
The sandals fit but once you start walking in them your feet slip back. The straps are hard and cause a lot of discomfort when walking. I have average feet (9B) and rarely have trouble with shoes. I've bought many other sandals of this type in the past and they were comfortable out of the box. Those shoes had better straps that were more flexible.

took shortcuts with wide option
Dear Lands End - I ordered a wide sandal because my feet are wide - both the tops AND bottoms of my feet. When adapting this sandal for a wide foot, you simply extended the length of the straps, but you built it on the same base you use for a regular width sandal. (I know this because when I ordered 2 pairs, you accidentally sent one regular, one wide and I had a chance to compare them.) It doesn't work. They're great looking sandals, but my feet hang over the sides, and they aren't as comfortable as versions from years past. Please fix what has been a great sandal.

These sandals are exactly what I wanted!
I will be traveling abroad this summer and needed sandals to walk around in. I bought them early so I could wear them in- no need the first day, they were perfect! I am wearing them to school now-perfect for a teacher.

Straps not very comfortable
I have to agree with the last reviewer, I found the straps fit to far up the top of my foot
that they were not comfortable, they just seemed to dig in when I walked. They did
seem to be of good quality, I think they should also have them available in 1/2 sizes as well.
I have been disappointed the last 2 years with the terrain type casual sandals, the styles just don't seem
to be made as comfortable as they used to be.
