Women's Plus Size Sunshower Coat
This coat fits well but black one collects much lint.
This coat fits me well. I am size 22 and it sits on shoulders well and arm width/length is perfect. I bought a black one but it is a lint collector. It looks awful because of this and I wish I had returned it and bought another colour. The pockets are not positioned well and are useless as they go right through. can't keep anything in them.
I would suggest not buying the black one. otherwise the jacket is a nice one.

I would recommend but only to certain body types
I have an hourglass shape, and do not do well in long coats that are cut like this. I am now forced to order 2X coats from LE, because they've done something with their sizing that means that nothing in 1X or XL is cut the way I remember from years past; presumably, they are trying to save money by cutting clothes smaller or something, and then charge plus sizes more for them. For this reason, I try to buy clothes only when they're on sale, because the full purchase price from LE has gone way up, and not always justifiably, given the lack of quality on occasion. At any rate, this coat looked voluminous on me, due to the cut, style, and material, rather than the size. I ordered two, one in navy and one in blue; although they were both nice colors and great material in terms of hand, the lack of detailing on the interior brings the coat down in terms of appearance, and it therefore is an odd combination, where it looks polished and sophisticated to some extent on the outside, yet the interior is partially lined in a rather large gingham material/print which gives the overall appearance of the coat a rather embarrassing casualness that I wouldn't wear in a city. The thing about wearing something cut too large (that is nonetheless fitted and shaped, like this coat is) when you're already a 1X or XL is that the extra fabric makes you look HUGE. This wouldn't be a problem if LE would PLEASE GO BACK to the cuts they used to offer, which actually made some sense. Nowadays, it does seem impossible to get a coat that fits unless it's a 2X, and then it's sometimes just huge in a way that can't be compensated for. A very nice fabric, but not good for me, at my height, weight, and body type, and I know from experience 1X will be too small, even though it "ought" to be my size. Anyway, sent them both back for refund.

Love this coat
I got this coat in orange after a long search for a raincoat that would flatter my apple shape. This fits the bill as it is roomy and comfortable yet has lots of design details. I love a bright color in the rain and hanging this one up at work amid all the other black and dark navy is fun. And at this price I almost considered getting a second one.
It's definitely waterproof which is great but means that it is hot indoors, say, at the mall.
Two caveats: This would be SO much more useful with a hood. And second, the pockets are indeed weird. I'm going to sew the inside one shut before I lose my keys. The pass-through pockets might be useful on a parka or cold-weather coat but this coat is definitely not warm enough for really cold weather.
Still, I really like this coat!

Great weather-wise, not so much style-wise
This coat was perfect for Europe. It keep me warm and dry. Unfortunately it doesn't do much to flatter my figure, may need to wear a belt with it.

Coat going back as soon as hurricane passes!
I wish I had seen the previous review before I ordered this coat. I just receive it (couldn't believe UPS delivered in this weather - hurricane Sandy). I was so excited because I really needed this new raincoat. What a huge disappointment. The pockets are horrible. Not only would you need to be careful with the placement of anything like keys but the two "inside" pockets are 8" squares sewn to the inside lining of the coat and they do not stay flat against the lining. I ordered the small which fit nicely except these loose pockets on the inside droop and pull on the outer fabric so you don't get a nice clean line on the front of the coat. It looks like you have something bunched into the coat on both sides. Terrible design. I would already be in the car heading to the UPS store to return but we are in the middle of the hurricane here in Virginia. I'll be sending it back tomorrow. So disappointed!! I would have given this "no boats" if I could.

whoever designed the pockets should be fired!
Like the jacket, but hard to get over the awful design of the pockets. It's bad enough that they have buttons and aren't positioned nicely on the sides so you can be standing or walking with your hands in the pockets nicely...they are more square on the front...but the KICKER is that it's a dual pocket with the inside pocket...hard to explain...basically when you go to put your keys in your pocket, unless you are super careful and get it in the opening, the keys will drop to the ground, as the opening goes all the way to the inside pocket...and you end up missing both pockets when you try to put something inside. AWFUL....WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? Fit ok, but fabric was not as it looked. I expected this to be more of a black microfiber that wouldn't attact every piece of lint...instead, it is one of those fabrics that attracts lint (like the other reviewer described).
Keeping, because it's a decent fit and a decent price. I just have a feeling my angst over the pocket situation will increase with every wear.

LOVE this coat! Raspberry color is beautiful. Great petite fit.
I purchased this coat to replace another Land's End raincoat I had worn for several years but which no longer fit. I loved that coat, which was a gorgeous and unique bright orange poppy print. I love wearing something other than the usual khaki or black trenchcoat and had hoped to find a similar, fun and fresh print. I was disappointed there were none, but happy to find the color choices in this coat. The raspberry is bright and beautiful and stands out in a crowd. I've worn it several times and feel pretty and stylish in it. I always come to Land's End for coats and jackets because they are one of the few retailers who carry a wide variety of petite sizes. Being 5'1" tall makes it hard to find a flattering coat. True petite clothing is sized proportionally throughout the entire garment, including collar, shoulder width, sleeve length, pocket placement, etc. It seems most retailers expect short customers to simply hem regular-sized clothing. But that doesn't create a proper-fitting or flattering garment. Lopping a few inches off the hem just looks dumpy. Thankfully, I can find a complete line of petite clothing here. I love that the coat is offered in some attractive color options. Ideally, I'd like to see Land's End offer some more trendy and fashion-forward clothing in their lines. They do classic stuff really well and I appreciate the quality. As for fit, I thought the amount of ease was right on. I want room enough for a jacket underneath and there is plenty, yet it is not too big to wear over a sweater or blouse. Sleeve length is perfect and the pockets are right at a comfortable placement. Bonus for pockets is that in addition to the outer pocket with flap closure, there are "reach-through" openings which allow you to reach inside the coat to an inner pocket in the lining (or reach into the pocket of clothing worn underneath the coat). I like the coat. Even better that the clearance price was a fabulous bargain.

Good fabric, Crimson Clay color is great, but bodice is wide.
I am a size 2 in regular Lands End clothes and the XS regular has always been fine for me when it comes to Lands End winter coats but I found that the XS for this rain coat was way too big in the bodice. Luckily, I was able to solve the problem by moving the front buttons over 1.25 inches to make the bodice fit at an acceptable level. Note: Even with the buttons moved over, I would hardly consider this coat to be "fitted" (as you can see from the model's image, it is NOT a very tailored fit) but it now looks more like the model's image. I can still fit a very thick sweater underneath. The fabric is light weight but seems to be good quality in that is both waterproof AND breathable. I got the crimson clay and it is a beautiful, brilliant color (which is perfect for fall). It really makes a statement! Overall, I am happy with the purchase.

Fabric tended to attract fluff I found the size small around the chest and arms quality not as good as a previous coat I have purchased.
Small size around chest and across the shoulders and sleeves. The fabric had attracted fluff even though I hadn't worn it. Great colour - regent.

Beautiful coat but the black attracts fluff
I bought this first in black and sent it back as it seriously attracts fluff and looks messy. I then bought the blue one which doesn't have the same issue and is a really nice coat. I have had several comments when wearing it.
Fit is true to size and sits on the knee for me (am 5'5')
