Tunic delivers on chic and comfort!
I'm a very picky consumer, esp re clothing. Having lived in NY City and Paris, I love stylish and dislike anything that's aging, dated and 'old ladyish.' This tunic delivers on chic and comfort. I've made this piece one of mom-uniforms-on-the-go. I throw on a tee shirt/camisole, black leggings, and heeled booties or Chanel ballerina flats and off i go all day long. The deep cowl neck makes it retro modern and evokes Audrey Hepburn ;-) Even going to the gym is a breeze b/c i'm layered and i can start working out right away after taking off the tunic. After being super pleased with the black, i bought another in ivory and charcoal. I plan to wear them during the summer months as a beach/pool coverup (I'm always chilled when I get out of the water). I've read several criticism regarding pockets but for me, they are a plus and don't add weight or bulk. Altho I've been a Landsend customer for years, this is my first reveiw for them. Love this tunic thank you very much.

Not flattering
I have several pieces of clothing from the Starfish line and love the softness of the material. This looked like a cute top to add to my collection. I ordered the red choice, and the color was beautiful. The fit was not flattering--the top part of the shirt was very oversized, and the bottom portion was more fitted. The pockets stuck out and added bulk to my hips. I will continue buying more Starfish items--this particular shirt just had an awkward fit. I appreciate Lands End for making it so easy to return items to the local Sears Department Store, rather than having to go to the post office to make returns.

Why the pockets?
I'm really torn whether or not I like this top. It looks great on and the neckline is something new and flattering, but the pockets are driving me crazy. I usually love pockets but these really play up your hips. The pockets are right on your hips, they are made of the heavy starfish material and they're not sewn down so they really flop around. I wear a medium and have a pear shaped body, but this tunic really makes my hips and butt look big. Not sure if it's going back yet, might try wearing it for a day and see if the pockets keep flopping around. It is quite cozy though...

So comfy and cute!
I love the way this shirt fits and feels! I was hesitant on buying a plain shirt for this price but I love the longer length and it washes up nicely, definitely would recommend.
