I found these pants to be a great value. I did find them to run large. I'm 5'6, about 135-140 lbs, and the mediums are really big on me. I kept them, however, because I can layer up underneath them for skiing in really cold weather. I liked them so much I also got a size small, which fits me perfectly. I usually buy high end ski clothing, but these fit the bill at least as well. No side zippers, no cargo pockets, but I find I don't need those bells & whistles for skiing and Nordic ice skating. Comfortable ski pants I like the adjustable velcro tabs, and front pockets. The length of the petite was right for my 5'1" frame. Very pleased that I didn't have to roll the pants up while wearing my ski boots. Alas, I left these in a ski chalet, and they were not in the lost & found. I need to buy another pair. But I will. At the beginning of the season, I compared these to the lower cost ski pants and decided these were worth the extra $30 - $40. March 16, 2013
M is good for 5.10 Size 8-10 I am 5.11 with an athletic build and wear a size 8-10 with about a 33" inseam for a perfect length. The M is good. A bit roomy for me in the waist but I have no belly. I think the roominess will be good for getting up and down off the ground sledding with my 4 year old. The S I think would be too tight for being as active as I need to be. The pants have a gator to keep the snow out and are wide enough at the bottom for snow boots to fit nicely. the 32" inch inseam is fine with my snow boots. February 27, 2013
Perfect for a curvy figure I am 5'1" and have a curvy figure. I needed a pair of snowpants for a weekend of winter camping and was a little reluctant to order on-line, worried the fit would be off. However, I found it is impossible to find snowpants in the mall in February (in the north, go figure?) so I took a chance on these. I could not have been more pleased. I ordered a petite size medium (some of the sand in my hourglass figure has run to the bottom!) and these pants, they could have been tailor-made for me! The fit could not have been more perfect. I am beyond thrilled and spent a very pleasant weekend outside cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking in extreme comfort and warmth. February 24, 2013
Bring on the snow! I am so excited about these pants. The fit is excellent. I am 5'6" and 135 lbs. I ordered a small after trying on what was left at the store--the Med was too big and the XS was too small, but the small fits just right. The waist fits neatly and I love the fleece lining at the back and in the pockets. The only thing I would improve upon is the legs openings could be a bit narrower and an outside pocket for my camera. January 11, 2013
Finally, I found some snow pants that fit! These snow pants are about the 8th pair I have tried on. I originally tried the medium of these, but it was huge on me, even over thermals and jeans they wouldn't have stayed up. I am 5'8" and 145 lbs. I usually wear an 8 or 10 in pants. I ended up with a size SMALL/ TALL. The inseam on the regular was very short (only 30.5 inches, I believe). The tall inseam is 32 inches, which is perfect on me. They seem to be well made and warm. Poor fit through hips for narrow body types The quality of construction on these pants is really great, but unfortunately like the other reviews have said, they run quite large in the waist (they have velcro tabs inside to make it adjustable, but the smallest cinch is still too large) but also especially through the hips. I could jam grapefruits inside the hips of these, no joke. I don't need to win style points in my snow pants, but it's more extra material than I'm wiling to deal with. I was about to start the exchange process online and double checked that the XS would be a better measurement match for me, but it appears they'd still be 4" too large through the hips. (I'm 5'4", 28" waist, 32" hips) I wondered if I could find a better fit in XL girls pants, but the reviews on those highlight the same cut issue through the hips. I'm considering XL boys pants to be honest. January 6, 2013
Love these and that they come in Petite I love these pants! I got them for dog walking and they are great. They fit true to size for me and Lands End pants. I'm so pleased to get a snow pant in petites - no more dragging hems! The wider leg at the bottom and the inner cuff with elastic are great at keeping the snow out! They are definitely best with a pair of long underwear underneath and there is room. I've gone out in single digit weather and been toasty warm and also in fresh snow more than a foot deep and stayed dry. I am loving these pants! Walking the dog in winter has never been so comfortable. I look forward to the rest of the winter now that have such a great pair of snow pants. Thank you Lands End for making such a great pant in a petite size!! December 30, 2012
these pants are well made, but sized much too large - order two sizes down The quality is good; they are well made. However, they were two sizes too big for me, and accuracy in sizing is essential for online ordering. The pant legs are also so wide that there is absolutely no shape to them - I hope I don't trip over myself when walking! December 23, 2012
Great for snow play I live in Alaska and needed snow pants that could fit over my regular clothes easily so i can get out to recess (I am a teacher's aide). These are just that. I am warm and dry without the bulk. I tend to be a medium but that size was enormous so after switching it for the small I was all set. December 13, 2012
