Great shorts!
I LOVE swim shorts but I hate how most of them are about the length of hot pants. I'm a 5'4" lady who carries the bulk of her weight in her butt/thighs, so short skirts and shorts just don't look good on me. These were a great length, very comfortable, and I LOVE the pockets; there is even a little key pocket on the inside. The only negative is that they fit a little snugly in the seat for me. I normally wear a size 20, and that's what I ordered, but it was a little tight. I wanted to try the 22 to see if they would be too big, but these guys are so popular they're sold out! I might just keep these even though they're a little snug, because everything else about them is awesome!

These shorts are perfect for me!
Since I am an older woman, I have been looking for a long legged short that I can wear over my bathing suit for several years. Finally, I found them and they are perfect! Thanks so much for offering these longer legged shorts!

What I was looking for!
This product covers as I desired, although the legs are a bit large. My biggest complaint is that the black has faded to a medium gray in less than three months of use.

YES!!
Comfy, woman-shaped shorts I can wear in the water and out that aren't little "hot pants"? YES!! This is very much a needed product, and not just for Plus. I would love to see these offered in a variety of styles and lengths; somewhere between skimpy 3" and Bermuda 9" would be fantastic (like the shorts I normally wear), and swimwear choice is ultimately the hallmark of Land's End's reputation. I'm back for more!!

Cute shorts
I bought these for my Hawaiian vacation but unfortunately, they didn't arrive in time. I thought I'd try them out in the pool for water aerobics. They look great. I am a plus size (who is rapidly losing weight!) and I appreciate the longer length in the leg. If you are plus size, I would recommend purchasing one size smaller than you usually take because as soon as I got in the water, the shorts loosened. There was no drawstring, so I had to keep pulling them up. So, I've decided that these shorts aren't suitable for me for water aerobics, but they will be really nice to wear to the beach this summer and for general swimming. I did swim laps after water aerobics class and they were fine. I definitely wish I had bought one size smaller. I love the aqua colour. Since I'm losing weight for the first time EVER, I really wanted to escape from my old pattern of wearing black. The fabric is a nice weight, and will probably dry quite quickly in the sun. I'll see if I can take them in a little.

Great for snorkeling!
I wore these for snorkeling, and they were very comfortable. And the best part is I didn't have to sunscreen as much of my legs. If you want less sun exposure, these swim shorts are a great solution!

Aloha!
I love these swim shorts! I ordered a pair in the black and put it with the turquoise sport tankini scoop line top and the zippered rash guard jacket. They were great for a day at the beach, as they worked wonderfully for snorkeling, dried quickly, and gave enough coverage that I felt totally comfortable to go into a restaurant for lunch and then do some shopping afterwards. Why did we women wait so long to get something so comfortable, functional, fun and easy? I called and got advice on the fit and I'm glad I did, as she helped me nail the right size so they were snug enough around my waist so I wouldn't swim out of them, but didn't tug around my bottom. A home run, Land's End!

Buying another pair
I am so happy to see these again this season. I bought a pair last year and love them. I swim 3-4 times a week and want something to cover my upper legs so I wear them over my one piece suit. They have held up very well in the chlorine water. I love the longer length for my plus size legs. The material is perfect for in the water and out. Dries fast. Nice to have a zipper and POCKETS!! Please keep making them. It so hard to find a well made pair of shorts in a plus size.

Weird fit!
I think if you are a slender fit woman these would work for you. I'm a size 14 (hips 42 1/2, waist 33) and these look awful on me. I know I'm not model thin but I would expect the contour of the shorts to be similar to those of the picture. The waist band sits below the belly button and the fit is o.k. But two inches below the waist band is tight and right below the tight area the fabric is loose. Then the butt area is tight again only to flare out loosely in the thigh area. To make matters worse the legs are HUGE and come right down to my knees! (I'm 5' 5"). I do like the attached panty but I'm afraid there is so much material in the legs, it would float right up to my waist when I'm in the water. I look like I'm wearing an old umbrella that's seen better days. Though the garment is well constructed, I found the material to be quite heavy for swimming. I can't see myself being comfortable on a hot day lying out in the sun with these swim trunks. I'd love to return these but I can't be bothered with the hassle and the expense. I'll try taking the hem up on these and if that doesn't work I'll donate them and shop somewhere else for better fitting swim shorts.

Material was stiff
The material on this was stiff, and the shorts much longer than they look on the model. I should have used a tape measure to figure out where they would fall on me (I'm 5'5" and they came almost to my knees). Maybe after wearing in the water they would smooth out a bit, but because of the stiffness of the fabric, it just seemed like they stuck out in the wrong places. The attached panty is a nice feature, though.
