Retirement Dress
I have been looking for a dress that's not too dressy but not too casual. This dress perfectly fit the bill, and perfectly fits me. I wear a 2X comfortably. The front and back pleats complement one another. I normally avoid sleeveless but the dress is just so nice, I will go without sleeves. Suggestion, Land's End, do the same dress with either a short sleeve or 3/4 sleeve for other seasons. The crossover works perfectly even with my busty fugure. No pinning needed. I can't wait for the party to wear this fine dress.

Kept Both!
I bought this in both the red and blue shades, planning to return one, once I decided which color I preferred. However, once I tried them on, I decided to keep both. This dress is comfortable, flattering, both colors are pretty, and I could dress them up or down depending on accessories, shoes, etc. The quality is wonderful and I intend to wear one of them when I go to California for my son's semi-casual, outdoor, daytime wedding!

Adorable dress
As a petite gal (5' 0"), it can be difficult to find clothes that are proportioned correctly. Time and time again, I know my size is consistent with the Lands End petite line. This dress fits just right. I wear a Petite XS, and it is exactly the right size for me. The waist on this dress is very flattering, and both the drape and A-line of the skirt are balancing. There is no bulging or bulky seams in the waist or hip area. Overall, the dress is excellent in terms of fit and quality. I have not yet washed the dress, but my past experience with LE clothing is that everything washes well. I ordered the red color, and it is lovely. I am considering ordering a second one in another color!

I wanted this to work, but..
I thought I had found the perfect dress: washable, flattering, easy to care for, versatile, and would create an ideal hourglass shape. But when I put it on (I'm usually a size 14, so I got the large), the waist was not at all fitted. it was flowing over the parts I wanted to de-emphasize, but the waist was totally loose, completely defeating the purpose of the "fit" in the "fit-and-flare" concept. I think it needs some kind of fastening: a zipper, perhaps a hidden elastic around the waist, to make the dress actually FIT on the body. Very disappointed.

so comfortable and versatile
this is the most comfortable and flattering dress. It feels effortless to wear it and it can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion and is work appropriate too. Wish I had gotten it sooner. I put that it is true to size because I have realized over time that I correspond to a Lands End size XS. However, this is not my sizing at other stores where I am a medium and even a large. I am a size 6 or 8 at other places so from that perspective this runs big if I had ordered a small or medium.

Perfect dress!
I was originally wary of this dress, since I'm 5'11" and normally need a tall so that the waist falls in the right place, but this dress was perfect for me in a regular medium. It is wonderfully soft, stretchy, and forgiving. It didn't cling too much--like many jersey dresses--so I felt comfortable in it the whole night. I bought it as a standard little black dress that could be easily packed and be versatile. It seems ideal for that, and it came just in time for me to wear to my departmental graduation celebration. It is sexy enough to wear on a date night without feeling frumpy, but modest enough to wear for professional occasions. I got several compliments on the dress and ended up ordering it another in the green!
Land's End, please make this in more colors! A dark gray or dark purple would be perfect.

Cute summer dress, but size runs large
Very cute summer dress that could be dressed up or down, depending on shoes and accessories. I am 5'3", 135 pounds, 38B, 32 inch waist, and ordered the petite small after reading the other reviews. I certainly would not have wanted it any bigger, and could possibly have gone with a petite XS, but am not going to bother to return it. I ordered the pink, which somehow is an even brighter color than the picture would lead you to believe, but it will be fine once I get out in the sun a bit. I would be tempted to get the black in an XS as a comparison, but the sale is over now - it's cute, but I'm not sure I would pay full price for this.

Easy dressing
Elegant casual dress- can be dressed up with accessories. The only thing is I find it a bit too Snug at the top but feel that sizing up would make it too big.

I really wanted to like this dress because the picture looked so appealing. The dress that came, however, was loose and shapeless, despite being my normal size (M).
