Fits big
Everything about this dress was wrong for me. I'm a size 26 on the bottom and a 2x on top. The 3x was way too big on me. The dress didn't sit right, the fabric rigid, and the collar was strange. It's going back.

wanted to love this dress
The skirt part was way too large for me. Maybe if the dress had a seam around the dress to give it more definition so when it's belted it won't have a lot of gathering. Like a previous review the mock collar around the back of the neck is odd. I ended up returning it.

does fit loosely, but...
it works perfect for me, i am 5'3, med build, ordered what they had left close to my size in med/petite and glad i did, very cute dress for summer, washes well :~)

Cute and flattering
This is a nice, comfortable dress for summer. It flatters a large bust and frames the face well. My only complaint is that the arm holes are too large, leaving some bra showing. I will have the sides altered slightly and it should be great.

Very cute - but fits BIG!
I like this dress - it's great quality, comfortable, and really cute. Two caveats - it fits really large - I'm 5'9", 155 pounds, and usually a small from Lands End fits perfectly. This small was still big - there seems to be a lot of extra material in the midsection. However, the belt mostly takes care of that, although it does gather a little oddly and needs occasional readjusting. The other (admittedly minor) caveat would be the shawl collar - I can't seem to make it lay right, although it doesn't really look weird. However, it's a great casual dress, and those two things are all that keep it from being perfect and a five star (or boat!) review.

Great dress, nice fit... weird collar.
I was really excited when I found this dress, esp. after reading the reviews. The fit is slightly larger, and I'm wondering if I shouldn't have gotten a size smaller. But the A-Line is flattering overall and it falls nicely (altho I don't think the belt really does much.) The material is soft and the pattern is pretty. However, the thing that I'm still not a 100% sure about is the shawl collar -- I think it's a bit of an awkward design. It doesn't really stay up or lay flat, it's just extra material. Otherwise, it would've been perfect.

Looks GREAT!
Although the fit is off, this dress is terrific. Just order a size down. I usually wear a Medium, but read the other reviews and purchased a Small instead. The Small works perfectly. Beware for those who are well-endowed: I'm busty so I really needed the self-tie belt to keep it from fitting like a tent. I double-wrapped the belt for more definition, and it looks great. Don't let the sizing scare you. It's a very cute dress! I'm wearing it to lunch today with a pair of navy platform espadrilles that I also bought at Lands' End. I only gave it a 4 rating because of the sizing. Otherwise, it would be a 5.

Nice quality
I received my dress, yesterday. Tried it on and found the fit big. For a casual sommer dress, it will be fine. I didn't like the stand-up collar, that was not visible on the picture. Also was disappointed in the belt. The picture showed a belt with a buckle. I will wear it for casual occasions, like shopping, possibly, even, to go out to lunch in. Since I have not washed it yet, I hope it will wash and wear well.

Love It!
this dress is SO comfortable and hangs well. I am only 4' 11" so I did have to alter the hemline! I also prefer wearing it without the belt. Great little "errand" dress or casual dinner out.

So comfortable!
I wore this dress to work today and received several positive comments. I wish it came with a better belt, but I'll just have to buy a cute one - this fabric one is functional but boring. The dress, however, is amazingly comfortable and flattering.
