It’s unlike any Lands’ End dress we’ve ever offered, with texture and refinement galore. The bodice is made of plush, stretchy knit velvet. But the skirt is the amazing part: flocked ponté! It’s dressy, yet completely practical. And so, so pretty. Bodice: 90% polyester/10% spandex; Skirt: 70% polyester/26% rayon/4% spandex. Hand wash. Imported.

Nice dress for the price
I never buy a dress unless it is on sale. I really like this dress. It is great for work or going out. The only thing that could be improved is the zipper. It has trouble with the seam between the two fabrics. This only bothered me till I noticed that I can pull it on without using the zipper.

This dress had such promise!
The idea of this dress was great but I think the execution was disappointing. The pockets were completely superfluous and made the dress sit strangely (on me anyway). Unfortunately the dress is going back. I'd love to see the flocked ponte made into a pencil skirt next time.

Comfortable, elegant sheath dress
I'm 5'10" and 145 lbs, and Lands' End size XS (size 2-4) dresses usually fit me perfectly in the A-line styles because I'm smaller on top. I ordered a size 4 but should have ordred a 6 because the skirt portion is not an A-line as it seems to be in the pictures. This dress is more of a sheath dress which never looks good on my athletic body type (muscular rear and legs, small/lean waist, and 36A chest). The fabric is tight across the rear and gapes awkwardly above it at the lower back. Plus, my long torso is much too long for this short-waisted style. The pockets sit higher than my hip bones. The top portion fits perfectly, though. Sadly, it has to be returned. I really love the soft, thick, stretchy fabrics, but even a larger size wouldn't fit right due to the overall design. This elegant, comfortable dress would be perfect on someone short-waisted and petite!

Classy and elegant
The dress fitted me - I ordered size 8 and the length was perfect, just above the knee for me. I love the fit as it is comfortable and the A line hides my hip. I love the mix of the two fabric - I personally think that gives it a classy look yet not too overly dressy feel of velvet top.

Classy! And the skirt material is not chintzy-thin like many others these days.
Wow, they got something right! Love the elegant drapey velvet top with patterned skirt. It adds MUCH needed variety to my wardrobe. I was impressed with the quality of skirt - typically clothes are so thin these days that I have to wear a layer underneath, but this is good to go. I am 5'0" and 110lbs. Usually wear the XS petite but sometimes the waistline is a bit too high, so I may try the regular sizing & have the length hemmed, but if its not available then I will keep what I have.
I would give it 5 stars but having sleeves would be perfect, and also a drapey back to match the front.

Beautiful and comfortable
This dressy dress is as comfortable as a t-shirt! I just love that it has pockets too. The flocked skirt is so pretty and different. This will be my go-to holiday dress next year!

Excellent Purchase
I love this dress and it fits perfectly. I don't usually wear a 6 but It fits perfect, thank goodness I used their sizing chart.

Perfect little holiday dress
I ordered it for my holiday party at work. I wore it moderately dressy with a fine gauge cardigan over it. I got several compliments. I would have worn it for Christmas but the cold snap has lead me to my turtleneck.

Overall I love it
Size 2 petite fits 103lb 5'3" person perfectly. I would have given it a 5 except for the slightly too high waist which everything seems to have this season. I find it makes it difficult to place a belt. Fabric is lovely. The neck drape would be better if the bodice front had been completely double sided instead of just faced but it works. Beautiful party dress.

A bit short, but that can be fixed.
The dress was a bit shorter than expected, but I am tall. Fortunately it had a 2" seam, which was hard to take out (great quality!). After making it about 1/2", I pressed the new seam, and you can not see the work I did, very forgiving fabric. Great dress for Christmas, the neckline allows for a short necklace, the belt (in the picture) is not included. It has a side zipper, so you do not need help to get zipped up. Another benefit, this dress has pockets.
