47-40-49 18W/16W grape floral really nice Okay, I see people complaining in the reviews so let me just make it clear. For me, I actually measured myself. I weigh 150-160 pounds, I have a 47in bust, 40in waist and 49in hip. From those measurements I checked the Land's End "Fit and Size" chart and decided that an 18W would be my best fit. I bought the grape floral, ordered it on monday and got here on friday. I put it on and it was perfect, in fact, ran a little bit big, I could of sized down. See? Not that difficult. I read some of the reviews of people mentioning that it was too little or that it was of bad quality. If you ACTUALLY measure yourself and buy the one corresponding to your measurements I don't see why there would be a problem. I ordered the 18W and will be keeping it, but maybe next time I will try the 16W. Anyways, the colors were different than from online (should be expected). They were more muted and not as bright. The fabric is weird. But I like it. It's not like the others. It's more thick and double layered so if you have a tummy and fat rolls on your back (like I do) then they will be unnoticeable. The fabric supports your body and gives it a nice and smooth curvy shape. It does such a good job, that I actually looked SKINNY in it! I was so happy and shocked, I looked sexy! Lastly, the bust. Okay, so it does not have an underwire, but it does have adjusting straps. And, its got a built-in bra. So if you are really busty, I recommend staying true to your size. If you are not that busty (like me), then size down. I am a 38-42D size and it was big on top. And because of that, I can't wear the suit strapless. I never meant to, but now it's not an option. So there you go. I think I answered every question. Buy a measuring tape and MEASURE YOURSELF. Then compare your measurements with Land's Ends size chart. It's NOT THAT DIFFICULT. If your busty stay true to your size, if you're not, then size down. If you don't measure your bust, waist and hip and match your size with the size chart given in the website, and are disappointed with the fit of your suit being "too small," that's your fault. As for me, I'm going to try the suit next friday when I go to the pool and then I'll come back and post how it went. June 1, 2013
So Disappointed I am a faithful buyer of Lands End suits. Fortunately, this is my first bad experience. Like other reviews stated, this suit ran very small. I bough a size up from what I usually wear in clothes, and even that was like being squeezed into sausage casing. Then the metal hooks for the straps broke, on both sides. I still like the print and the shape of the suit so I am going to return it for the same thing in a much bigger size. Hopefully that solves the problem. May 29, 2013
Love it! I love this suit! I love the fit. I find it gives plenty of support for large chests. The fabric is beautiful. I find it quite youthful looking and I think it's very stylish, especially for a one piece! May 28, 2013
Uncomfortable, heavy fabric This swimsuit is very pretty and the usual Land's End quality. The pattern and color are charming. The problem is the fit and fabric. It fits like a girdle, the fabric is heavy. I prefer softer fabrics with more give. I like to have fun at the beach and feel comfortable. This is not sold as a slender suit type product so I was not expecting this material. It would be very hot in the summer. I'm not thin, but I'm OK with that. I don't want my swimsuit to mold me. If you are looking for a suit with a lot of support this may be a good product for you. If you are looking for a soft silky fabric that provides a lot of comfort this is not it. May 12, 2013
questionable quality I really wanted to love this suit, but unfortunately I will be returning it. When wearing the suit as a bandeau, the top rolls down so that the elastic shows, and when using the straps, the piece of material that the strap attaches to the suit shows. That would be ok except that that piece is white, so it sticks out like a sore thumb (I ordered the yellow floral)! The suit it also ruched at the bottom in front at the side seam, which unfortunately just make it look wrinkled and as if it doesn't fit properly. I'm disappointed in Land's End, and I have to say that their standards seem to be slipping, after ordering one of their beach towels last year, only to return it after finding that it was no thicker than some of the far less expensive "discount" stores! Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! but... I am 5'5" and at my heaviest weight since my second pregnancy. Currently, I weigh around 175 lbs (cringe,) wear a 42C bra, and a size 10 or 12 regular jeans. My weight is pretty evenly distributed resulting in a curvy, curvy figure. I measured pretty carefully and ordered the size 14W swimsuit thinking it would either be just right or a little on the large side. (This is the first W size suit I've ever purchased.) Last year I wore the Beach Living V-Neck Tankini top in a size 16 regular and the Beach Living Tummy Control Swim Mini in a size 14 regular. My outer thighs and tummy are my least favorite areas so I normally prefer the swim mini. However, with red hair and porcelain skin, I just could not pass up the pattern on this suit. I ordered the Peach Blossom Floral and it is THE most unique swimsuit I've seen in a long time. Here are my immediate impressions - The color is off from what I was seeing on my monitor. This is pretty typical when ordering things on-line, I know. I expected the yellow background to be more of a golden, muted mustard color, but it is actually about the color of the inside if an under-ripe peach. Like a bright, yellow orange. Still perfect for summer and the combination of colors is gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! Lands' End offers free swatches, but I just could not wait to order the actual suit. The quality is amazing as usual with Lands' End suits. They simply can't be beat as far as I'm concerned. I've never been disappointed. I'm heavy chested and this suit offered plenty of support and coverage even though it has removable straps and no underwire. It made my top half look youthful again and not droopy the way most suits make me look, including my Beach Living top. The suit was a little hard to pull on, but once on, it gave great overall support. I'm going to exchange it for the Dark Red Grape Floral and go up one size. I think the combination of the darker color and the slightly larger size will make it just right. The price on this suit is much lower than many of the other Lands' End suits and can easily be returned to my local Sears store. One final bonus is that I earned Box Tops for my daughter's school by accessing the Lands' End website via the Box Tops for Education Marketplace. I would not hesitate to recommend this or any other Lands' End swim suit to friends. Thank you so much Lands' End for everything! April 14, 2013
