Women's Roll Sleeve French Terry 2-pocket Dress 3.1 5 18 18
This dress is casual awesome This dress is comfortable and fits everywhere without being too baggy. I'm a fatty, average height, and bought this in my usual size (1X). It's great, not frumpy or shapeless, and I get compliments every time I wear it. I like the interesting details of the rolled arms and drawstring, but what I really love are the pockets. All clothes need pockets! Sometimes I wear it with a few buttons undone and a cami underneath for added interest. The tomato red colour is a nice change from the usual fire engine red. I haven't had a problem with the arms being tight or uncomfortable when rolled up at all (my arms are a bit of a problem area - this is an issue for me with some clothing). Would like to get this in the blue as well. I've taken a gamble on quite a few Lands' End dresses of late, and it's worked out really well for me (I'm an Aussie, and shipping is way too expensive for returns). May 7, 2013
Weird fit Great colour I wanted this to look good as it's a really useful style.... Alas- it made me look fat and frumpy It's going back April 13, 2013
Disappointing This looks so good on the model I didn't know how I could go wrong! Well, the fit is strange. The waist was way too big and the waistline was super-low so when I cinched the belt it made the skirt shorter and made me look fatter. Also the fabric gets bulky and it's really hard to make it lay right around your waist. Every time I'd walk by a mirror I'd notice the fabric had gathered at the front and was making a huge pucker. The sleeves when unrolled are a 3/4 length and they look really weird with the scale of the dress. When you roll them up, they're so bulky the cuffs squeeze your arms. The button placket needs to have a few buttons undone to look normal, as in the product photo. The side pockets lay weird and make your hips look bigger. I'm 5'11" and this is way too short on me to wear as a dress, but too long to be a tunic. To top it off, the fabric looks kind of nightgown-ish, so I wouldn't be comfortable wearing this in public. I got this so cheap though, for now I'm wearing it around the house until I decide whether to keep it or not... April 10, 2013
Lumpy & Dumpy I am reasonably tall, yet curvy - 5'8" and ordered this in a Large. The dress was true to size but was very unflattering. It seemed to create lumps and bumps where it draped over my hips. Cinching the drawstring waist didn't help create a more flattering profile either. I'm going to return it. March 7, 2013
Clingy fabric and bulky pockets I did not think this dress was flattering on me at all. The slubby fabric was very clingy and pockets bulged out creating an awkward profile. Maybe better on a slender gal with no hips February 23, 2013
Worked great for me I love this dress. I always get tons of complements when I wear it and it is so comfortable. It's like a heavy slubbed T-shirt. It's not the most flattering thing I've ever worn, but drawing the waist up a bit adds shape. I'm pleased with this purchase. It's incredibly versatile and with the right accessories can be dressed up (I teach college and have worn it to school). I got the medium and I am 5'8", short-waisted, with no hips to speak of, and the draw cord hits me at my navel. Also, I did not find the arms particularly tight and I do not have slim arms. If I wear a cardigan or jacket over it, I always have to dig out the sleeves as they've rolled up my arms. So they're loose enough for that. December 7, 2012
Big disappointment As others said, should have heeded the other reviews and not ordered this dress. It does indeed have tight sleeves, flimsy fabric and no shape to it whatsoever. Even when you tie the belt. Unless you are tall and very thin, I would pass on this dress. I returned mine. December 4, 2012
Disappointed I purchased this dress at the sale price. The fabric is pretty thin, fit is not great and is not a suitable fall/winter dress as the material is flimsy. As the reviewers have noted the arm area is tight so that rolling the sleeve as pictured in the image is next to impossible. Given the reviews I sized down to an XSP and although it fits, there is very little shape to the dress, in spite of the tie waist. The pockets are not flattering to the dress at all and no matter how much I adjust the tie waist, the dress does not drape well. This dress is a disappointment even at the sale price. Would not recommend. November 15, 2012
Great casual dress I am a size 10 and think this fits pretty true to form. The only criticism is that the color is not red. It is more like a burnt orange. i don't mind as it will be great for the fall. Looks great with brown boots and long necklace. November 4, 2012
Comfortable, but not super-flattering Very comfortable to wear, however not very flattering to my figure. Seems too boxy. November 2, 2012
