No holes needed!!
It doesn't have holes but they aren't needed! I wonder if the other reviewers even tried it on? The belt is obviously designed to stay put once you put the leather through the buckle. I wore this belt over a tunic all day Christmas day and it didn't budge. I wouldn't count on it to function like a girdle and hold my belly in, but as long as there's no undue tension pushing out, the buckle will hold the belt in place quite securely. This is fantastic! I'm in the process of a weight loss, and this belt will fit me no matter what. I don't have to worry about where the holes are! Also, I can wear it on a low rise jean, or higher on my natural waist like I did on Christmas. There aren't many belts that can do that double duty.
The leather does feel pretty flimsy, there's not much weight to it, but the black is very shiny and looks nice. I would also wear it with jeans, slacks or dresses (if I wore dresses). I really love this belt, but I don't think it's worth 34 dollars. I bought it on a discount day. If it goes into overstocks, I may buy the blue and the pink.
Overall, a very functional and stylish accessory. Don't be fooled by what's missing here. You won't miss a thing!!!!

Nice dressy belt
I use this specifically with dresses as it does not have "belt holes" for sizing.

No prong or holes to secure belt?!?!
It has a very nice bright patent leather sheen, but no way to secure the belt, just like the other review said. So there is really no way to wear it. I have no idea what Land's End was thinking. If they just added a prong and holes it would be perfect. But without it, I have no idea how this "belt" is supposed to work. Returning it!

Not what I expected
This belt feels flimsy and doesn't have the feel or look of leather. It doesn't have a prong and holes - it's simply a sliding buckle and it loosens as I move. It's not what I expected.
