Kept me dry in a downpour!
I brought this in the red for me, lime for mum. Mum has wanted this in the lime since she first saw it in a catalogue Lands' End sent me. The lime is lovely, a bright green/yellow shade, much nicer than the picture. The red is a true red. We wore them on a Sydney harbour cruise 2 weeks ago, and they kept us dry in a sudden downpour! Only our shoes and jeans got wet. We were the only ones left standing outside in the rain! They really are waterproof! They're also windproof, and roomy enough to fit a bulky sweater underneath. The hood is very big and falls quite low, but this can be adjusted. It looks great on, excellent shape. Looks much more expensive than what I paid: I've seen lower quality raincoats here in Sydney for much higher prices ($300-400!). Very pleased. This is why I keep buying with Lands' End! They do well with international delivery too! Well done!

Perfect!!
I was looking for a waterproof jacket to wear while walking my new rescue dog. Purchased this in the Bright Lime and I just love the color.. I was a little concerned that it might feel like plastic, but it really doesn't and it doesn't make that crinkly sound. It is lightweight so I sized up so I could wear it over a jacket. I really like the fabric and the fit (which is adjustable at the waist with the cords) and it does the job! Just perfect for me. Very pleased.

Not sure what to think....
I am in the minority, clearly. I received this parka and was very happy with the fit, the color and the weight. It's very light, and I planned to take it on a trip with me, so weight (or lack thereof) was important. I have worn it a few times pre-travel. I'm sorry but it's just not waterproof. The rain wasn't torrential, it wasn't just a sprinkle, it was raining. Although my clothes did not get soaked, my clothes were just slightly, and uncomfortably damp underneath the parka. Not once, but a few times. I would take it off and just think I was uncomfortably cool after being in the rain, but darn it, my clothes were ever so slightly damp. I am very disappointed, and clearly I got a dud coat because no one else seems to be complaining about this. Sadly, I must return it.

Pretty rainjacket that looks like it'll do the job.
Bought this rain jacket to take to England so haven't had a chance to try it out yet. Looks like it'll be great with the hood & overlapping front placket. Plus it's so nice looking. Glad I bought it.

Perfect for summer showers
I ordered this to replace a light weight sailing jacket that I lost. It is perfect for rain during the hot months - good protection with the hood, covered pockets, long enough to cover your rear but not too long to get in the way of moving fast if you have to, and a nice light weight. Got it on sale, which adds just that much more to its appeal.

Will wear this for a long long time
I originally ordered this on the Internet, but was disappointed that I could not locate the color I wanted in my size. I went a size up which was WAY too big. So I called for an exchange and found a color I liked by talking to the helpful customer service person. This is a top quality jacket that I will wear and travel with for a long long time. I am just confused as to why there were more options available to me via phone vs on the web. Oh well. It worked to my advantage.

Quality wasn't as expected
I have played competitive golf for over twenty years and have rain gear but wanted something a little dressier. I expected something much nicer for the price, this felt like a garbage sack. The zipper got stuck before I could even try it on. Needless to say, while the fit was good- I sent it back. The quality was horrible.

I originally ordered a Medium Petite but it was too small, I wouldn't have been able to put a sweater under it. I returned it and ordered a Large P.
The med. petite was too small and I felt I would not be able to wear a sweater under it. I returned it and reordered a lg. petite. I received the jacket and wore it once to go shopping and it was very good in the heavy rain. The sleeves are a little long on me so I did have to roll them up, but they look okay. Otherwise the fit is much better, I don't think the size is accurate, you have to size up. I do like the jacket.

Very nice rain jacket
I am very happy with the Women's Rainstop Parka. The fit is right on and it has performed well in an average rain shower. I have not been out in a downpour or used it camping yet, but overall it's a very nice jacket and I am happy with it. I get many compliments on the color, too.
