Kept me dry in a downpour! I brought this in the red for me, lime for mum. Mum has wanted this in the lime since she first saw it in a catalogue Lands' End sent me. The lime is lovely, a bright green/yellow shade, much nicer than the picture. The red is a true red. We wore them on a Sydney harbour cruise 2 weeks ago, and they kept us dry in a sudden downpour! Only our shoes and jeans got wet. We were the only ones left standing outside in the rain! They really are waterproof! They're also windproof, and roomy enough to fit a bulky sweater underneath. The hood is very big and falls quite low, but this can be adjusted. It looks great on, excellent shape. Looks much more expensive than what I paid: I've seen lower quality raincoats here in Sydney for much higher prices ($300-400!). Very pleased. This is why I keep buying with Lands' End! They do well with international delivery too! Well done! June 9, 2012
Perfect!! I was looking for a waterproof jacket to wear while walking my new rescue dog. Purchased this in the Bright Lime and I just love the color.. I was a little concerned that it might feel like plastic, but it really doesn't and it doesn't make that crinkly sound. It is lightweight so I sized up so I could wear it over a jacket. I really like the fabric and the fit (which is adjustable at the waist with the cords) and it does the job! Just perfect for me. Very pleased. May 3, 2012
too big in the middle this jacket was the style i was looking for, but it runs smaller across the back and big in the middle, I am 5'3" and a size 12, the medium petite was too small across the shoulders and chest, while the large petite was way too big in the middle, and fit in the shoulders and chest. i am not a slim person, but this is really baggy in the waist., i returned it. Excellent head coverage from hood, good pockets, good snaps, I bought the large for a girl who normally wears size 12, thinking it might not be a generous fit. It is a generous fit, but the inner drawstring created a nice waistline, and cuffs can be adjusted, so it looks good. Even in the petite length, this coat will keep your legs dry, unlike many rain jackets. The hood size is ample to keep your glasses and face dry, and is not floppy like some, The blue colour is very nice. We do find the zipper a bit sticky, but that generally improves over time. Attractive and quiet I just purchased my second jacket in this style. I have one red and one black. Compared to my black waterproof REI jacket, this one is much quieter and better fitting because it has the drawcord to pull in the waist. Since I live in Seattle and it is drizzling quite a lot, it's nice to have an attractive rain jacket that doesn't make me look like I just hiked from Paradise to Camp Muir (on Mount Rainier). This is the kind of jacket that can be worn anywhere. May 31, 2013
Color was great, lining was not... When this jacket arrived I thought it would be perfect, the color and quality of the outside material was lovely...it's a beautiful shade of red, a real true red. However, when I slipped it on, I did not like the rubbery feel of the lining. I felt that it would also get hot, as I live in GA. I also did not like the stretch band waist, once gathered, I had difficulty loosening it back into place. I decided to return it, and found a petite small hot pink "Storm Jacket" in the Sears store. It was also on sale and I feel it will better fit my needs. May 28, 2013
Bought for Alaska cruisewear I'm cruising to Alaska in early August and a hooded raincoat was a recommended MUST HAVE. I'm a devoted Land's End wearer and I think this parka (purchased in purple) will be perfect for my needs. It is roomy enough for some layering underneath. May 13, 2013
Great Parka It's fit is true to size. Happy with the dark plum and look forward to wearing it on our trip to Scotland. Worth the price. May 12, 2013
Nice jacket Nice color, good fit. Been looking for a lightweight rain jacket like this for a while. Like the length, all the pockets, and the hood. New purchase but so far so good. May 12, 2013
Great light weight jacket This is exactly as described. I am 5'8". I typically wear size 8, or a large top. I bought the large. The sleeve length was perfect, just past the wrist, and it fit great. I live in Miami and need a light weight jacket to wear over light weight clothes. This is not the right jacket if you plan on layering sweaters or heavy clothes. The description claims 2 layers. Layers are not fabric linings. This jacket is like wind breaker. If you are looking for a lining, look elsewhere. I haven't had a chance to wear it in the rain yet, so am unable to comment on that. The hood is big, but can be pulled in a bit, but I see what others have already said about that and agree. The length is below the hips which is what I wanted. The pockets are a mesh, and have a flap to keep water out. So far I'm pleased with it. I do live in warm climate though, so for those of you up north, realize this is a light weight rain coat that will not keep you warm. May 12, 2013
