Beautiful and comfortable BUT
I bought these for a ten day trek through East Europe in February. We walked 3-4 hours at a time. The boots -- initially a wee bit tight-- quickly became comfortable as they "gave." Also, they looked great throughout and kept my feet warm. However when the snow was slushy or there were inescapable puddles my feet got damp. So -- in my opinion -- not for real wet conditions.

Ok for mild snowy weather
These boots are a bit narrow in that you have to pull to get them on. They also give bad support, and almost doesn't feel like there is a heel, almost like you're walking in a houseshoe outside until you get used to it. I run my shoes over, and this may be a factor for me, but I always felt like I was walking on a slant which was not comfortable and made my ankle hurt. Also these are not for slush, mush or rain WHATSOEVER. The water will come in, they are for snow/light snow and light ice. Several times I could feel my feet getting wet and they got wet quickly when I stepped in a puddle or slush. However, they are snug and very warm. i would say these are more 'fashion' boots for light weather trekking. Overall, they are a little funny in the ankle area and makes it a bit uncomfortable to walk in. I wish they had been cheaper.

Nice boot
I bought this in the ivory color, strictly because I know that if you wear Land's End outerwear in Michigan winters, you'll never even notice that it's cold outside. True story! So I bought them because they're a high quality boot and because I play outside in the snow with my toddler daughter quite frequently. I was very surprised when people would tell me how cute they are and ask where I got them, because, while I thought they were okay-cute, I guess I didn't realize they were very cute on, too. I found that the fit is fairly true-to-size, and I will say that there have been times when I've been outside for extended periods of time and my toes do start to get a little chilly. But, that's only after being outside for an hour or more.

Great boot for the cold...
I normally wear a 6.5 or 7 and I bought the 7 based on reviews. I love them!!! I am so pleased with the insulation. We get lots of cold weather here in Germany and I run cold most of the time. The thick insulation throughout the entire boot was such a nice surprise. We do lots of traveling and walking and after wearing them for a whole day I am very happy with them. I always say I should be a tester for Land's End with all the hiking in mud, rain, snow, and cold weather we do. So far Land's End wear has stood up to the test. I'm looking forward to wearing these for our wet, cold days. I gave them 4 stars because even though they are cushy to walk in, they don't have enough arch support. I'm planning on using them for our ski trip next year, which I'm confident they will be comfortable to walk in, keep my feet warm and dry. Great present from my hubbie this year!!!

Wide in the heel, narrow in the toe box
I was so excited to get these. They looked really nice but, they didn't fit well. They were just a smidge narrow in the toe area (which I probably would have let slide) but they were way too wide in the heel.

Love these boots
Just received theses boots today and I love them. I ordered the ivory and the fur is gorgeous. They are a little large in the foot area but nothing a thick pair of socks wont fix. They feel good and they'll look great with a pair of skinny jeans. I gave these four stars only because I haven't worn them in snow yet. But, with Lands End's reputation for quality winter wear I don't think I'll be disappointed.
