nice fabric, no lining makes it less classy
nice comfortable fabric that has a spandex feel but should have mentioned no lining in the desc. so people would know. it would be great to have a lining to it so that the blouse tuncked underneath it will look smoother on the outside of the skirt. well-intended design, fair workmanship, poor execution in details like a lining.

Great Cut, Stretches Out
This skirt is great for a bunch of reasons: 1. The ponte is a great fabric which doesn't even require ironing if you hang it up right out of the dryer. 2. It's cut in all the right places, i.e. it's not too tight around my ample thighs, making me look pregnant. 3. The regular hits me right at the knee (most flattering for me). 4. No pockets with weird bumps. 5. It really does come in at the waist, at least enough so that there's no gapping.
The one thing the wrecks it though is the stretch of the fabric. This is not ongoing stretchiness which snaps back to shape once you stand up; by the end of the day, this skirt was still fitting around my thighs and behind, but the top was totally loose; looking at it head-on in a mirror showed a vertical line upwards from my widest point. The top of the waistband was grazing the underside of my bust and I could see inside when I stood up.
Maybe this could be rectified with ordering a size smaller? I think I'll try that, because otherwise this was a great skirt.

Odd bulges at high hip
The fabric is nice and heavy, and the stretch makes it comfortable, but it bulges very badly at the sides between the waist and the hips. I think it's the cutting; it curved too much there. I would have returned it but noticed that I had to return it all the way to the US, so took it to a tailor for alterations instead. Unless you don't mind the hassle of having it altered, buy something else. As to the length, I'm 5' 3", and I like to wear flats, so it fits me; someone taller might find it too short.

Perfect
This skirt is amazing. I bought one at the store, wore it to work and loved it so I ordered another one. Fits perfectly, figure flattering and professional. The length is just right, it hits about right at the knees. Definitely a wardrobe staple and a great purchase.

Nice but some problems which limit its wearability
The fabric is gorgeous. It is flattering in many ways BUT as mentioned by others, on me it flares out at the thigh - NOT flattering. This also means I am limited in what I can wear it with - cannot tuck in blouses or tees, or even wear fitted tops with it (unless they are long enough to cover the flaw. Will have to wear with a cardi or less fitted and longer tops.
Like another review I read, the side seams do not lie flat, which accentuates the flaring/bulging at the thigh. If you have larger thighs this will be a perfect skirt!
The length is a bit shorter than I expected (I am 5'6") - comes just above the knee, I am perfectly happy with this (I had originally considered ordering petite to ensure it would be more this length), It does fit large but I anticipated this (LE afterall) so I ordered the 14 (16 in skirts elsewhere) and could easily get away with a 12 because of the give of the fabric. I may try this in the hopes that it will get rid of the bulging thigh.

New Favorite Skirt!
I wore this skirt for the first time today - it is my new favorite skirt! I just came online hopeful that it came in more colors, it's that wonderful! It was comfortable and easy to move about in as I worked today. I even received compliments about it's fit!

This is not the same ponte knit skirt that I bought last year
I bought one of these skirts last year and it has been an absolute wardrobe staple. This year's version will not be. A really odd fit on the sides; the seams did not lie flat - little "bulges" every few inches. Appeared to be very poorly made. Maybe the one I bought just happened to be defective??

The skirt was too short
The quality of the fabric was excellent. But because I am 5"2", I always order the petite sizes. The skit fit very nicely except for the length. It came above my knees; and at 69 years old, it just wasn't appropriate. I amreturning it to get the regular length, not the petite.

Love, love, love this skirt!
I have searched for months for the perfect pencil skirt, and I have finally found it in this L.E. skirt. The ponte fabric is perfect, it gives a bit of stretch for comfort, however keeps its shape perfectly even after having it on all day. I did have to get a size down from my regular size but other than that it is fabulous. I really hope to find another color option in the future, like navy or chocolate brown, I would certainly buy them. Thanks Lands' End for another great wardrobe staple!
