Like down, PolarThin™ insulation provides warmth without weight. The shell of this Parka also has a DriOff™ finish to shed rain and snow, so it bead up and rolls off. Should any heavier precipitation manage to sneak in, PolarThin insulation retains its loft when wet so you'll stay warm. A great transition piece, this parka also has our ultimate-soft (and anti-pill) Heavenly Fleece™ inside for an added layer of coziness. Plus hidden fleece cuffs help keep out cold. Finally, the quilting is meticulously engineered — a more time-intensive process, but the flattering results are worth it. 100% polyester. Machine wash. Imported.

Great Winter Coat I grew tired of substandard winter gear last year and finally bought myself a Land's End coat, this one. It's by far warm enough to stand up to Canadian winters of late and then some. I love it. April 4, 2013
Perfectly sized for petites This is a great jacket which is perfectly proportioned for a true petite; that is short, not just thin. I have three other LE petite jackets and have to roll the sleeves up on all of them. The sleeve length on this is perfect, and the overall length is also good; hits me mid-thigh. I especially like the super soft fabric at the neck which makes it sooo comfortable when zipped all the way up. Same fabric for the inner sleeve cuffe and inside the hood. Zipper works fine and the 2-way feature is a plus. There is nothing I don't like about this jacket. The coat is very warm without being bulky, and has a nice silhouette, slightly tapered through the waist. I am 4'11", 104 lbs, got the PXS in black, and it is nice enough to wear to work. I couldn't wear a bulky sweater or sweatshirt under it, but don't need to as our cold winter temps are mid 30's-40's. I like this jacket so much I just bought another in red! March 23, 2013
LOVE this coat! I live where it gets very cold. I own a stadium parka and many other kinds of warm coats. This coat is the thinnest, warmest one of all. I know it's rated as WARMEST but I disagree. HIGHLY recommend. In fact, I can back to order another color but they only have extra smalls left. Very disappointed. January 16, 2013
Good all-purpose jacket To me this jacket fits large. I'm a size 6 and the xs fits perfectly. Although I generally don't layer. They're a bit thin for winter, but I'd say should be OK for above freezing temperature, or walking from just the car to a building. I especially like that they're water resistant. I have two of them and altered them both around the waist. They don't nip in at the waist very much and appear a bit boxy. A drawstring would have made them perfect. I think this fits ruler or pear shape the best as there's not much room around the chest. Overall it's a very good jacket for the price. January 14, 2013
Mixed feelings about this parka I must go outside several times a day, regardless of the weather, to walk my dogs so I ordered this because I wanted a warm short coat that was NOT down. After reading the reviews I ordered SP. It fit just perfectly everywhere except that it is tight in the bust. By the time I received it there were no more MPs or Ms available in any color to exchange it with so I decided to keep it anyway. It looks nice, it is very lightweight, and it is rated "Warmest"; it is supposed to keep me warm at 20 below. It is a rare day here in the DC area when it gets down to 0 degrees. Then I wore it for the first time today. At only 40 degrees, and with no wind, I was too cold in it, more like I had worn a little windbreaker, not a coat. I had on a heavy cotton turtleneck and heavy yoga pants, usual casual garb for me in winter here; I am not cold when wearing such under my other coats, no matter how cold or windy it is. I'm wondering what is wrong with this coat. If I am going to use it at all in winter I will have to find something heavier that will fit under it, tight as it is in the bust. My bust is not out of proportion to my very slim build. Until now I have always been pleased with my Lands End purchases. December 13, 2012
LOVE this jacket! You may need to size up. I LOVE this jacket! The washed berry color has more warm tones to it than the pic suggests, which was a wonderful surprise. The sizing is a bit off too. I am 5'3" & 115 lbs & usually wear a size 2 or XS in Lands End tops/dresses, but the XS jacket was too snug in the shoulders. The small fit perfectly, allbeit giving me a bit more room in the waist & hips than I need, but it doesn't look too frumpy and fits comfortably with a thick fleece top underneath. Pockets are a bit small, but they're cozy fleece lined & are big enough for my keys & my driving gloves (and my hands!). This coat is comfy, soft, very lightweight and warm, and I love the length. It is a steal for the current clearance prices. Hope my sizing tips help prevent other people from having to order a 2nd jacket to get the right size. December 6, 2012
Lovely coat Great coat. Lovely bold red colour. Nice and light weight. Pockets are a tad small but do zip up. I'm 5'7.5" it just comes below my backside...not overly long. Nice coat if you need something in between dressy and casual. December 4, 2012
Score! Just got this today. Took a chance but like most LE smalls, it is a little on the roomy side but not hugely. The waist does tailor in. It will easily fit a cardigan underneath. It is adorable. The upper inside half plus the entire inside hood is lined in a baby's bum soft sleek fine fleece like material. You can zip the jacket right up under your neck, pull the hood up and flip the front portion of hood back a touch and it all fits so nice and close. It is cute and fashionable and not bulky. The vertical zip pockets on each side are also lined with the soft fine fleece lining. The hood has a drawstring with nice small-med silvertone toggles. Sleeves a tad long but I like that, also an inner closer fitting snugly sleeve cuff again in that soft material. Wow, this is a great little jacket and though longer, it reminds me of how happy I was finding those quilted shorter hoodless jackets of 2-3 yrs ago which I wear all the time. I am 128 lbs., 5 foot 3 1/2 inches, evenly proportioned and the small is the perfect fit for me. I would have swam in a medium, xsmall would have been too snug. Very decent quality, Would wear it around town and also to worship. I like it enough to want it to last in perfect condition:) I got this in mahogany and it is a nice medium-dark brown, will go with everything and will look good with various scarves. Can't go wrong with brown. I am ready to wear this now!! November 27, 2012
lightweight and soft jacket. I love this jacket. It is a lightweight warm jacket in a lovely color(Washed berry). I purchased a small petite which allows enough room for a sweatshirt, fleece or sweater underneath without being overly big. The pockets are zipped and large enough for a lightweight pair of gloves and keys/phone without a huge bulge. I am 5" and it fits to mid thigh and sleeve length is perfect. I see no issue with the double zipper--these always have to be lined up prior to zipping. I have been searching for this kind of jacket for a long time to replace a 20+ year old Waterproof ragged Columbia jacket which was perfect for walking dogs, errands, trips to the mailbox etc. It is now in the trash!! Super cute, but what am I supposed to put in these pockets? I bought this coat in the brown. Absolutely loved it: the color, the weight, the length, etc., until I put my hands in the pockets. Ugh! As I'm searching for a coat to replace my 10-years-old-plus Squall parka, I'm finding that most cute coats are designed without ample pocket space. In the winter, I need to be able to put gloves in there at the very least. Then if I'm on the go and don't want to bring a bag, I also need to be able to stick keys in there. Anyway, unfortunately, this coat -- while super cute -- just didn't cut it in the pocket department and had to go back. :( October 16, 2012
