Women's Polartec Aircore 100 Gaitor
Outdoor work --great
As soon as I received it, I wore it to work
-- in December rain and ocean wind on the
CA coast. I wore it a lot to stop a chest cold
from turning into pneumonia as I work outside and
it's peak season where sick leave is a big no-no..
This is the first time I've had a gaiter w/ string, and
it helps to draw it up to the right tension and wear it
hands free up around my nose and ears. It won't do
that w/o the drawstring, so now I'll always look for that.
And I can tie it to my jacket and not lose it like I've lost
the last 5 or 6.

The Polartec Aircore 100 gaiter keeps my neck and lower face warm.
This gaiter is comfortable. In the cold and wind, I pull it up to keep even my nose warm. I recommend this Aircore 100 gaiter for anyone who is out in winter, whether for work or recreation. Pulled up over the mouth and nose when it is freezing, you warm the air before breathing it into your lungs. Also, you'll never lose it on the trail.

Soft, comfortable, and functional
I ordered this neck gaitor for my early morning runs. It easily slips over my head and keeps the wind off my neck. I sometimes pull it up over my mouth or behind my head when the gusts are particularly strong. It washes and dries beautifully, nothing at all to say negative. I sometimes find myself reaching for it when I don't feel like wrapping a big, long scarf around my neck on "regular" days when I'm not in athletic apparel. A great product at a great price!

ok for the price
I have this and the previous version and use both for running in colder temps. I didn't particularly like how the drawstring on the older version would flap on my face when it's windy, so I just tied it like it's a continuous drawcord then double knot in front, and that seemed to work (though probably not a very good look). I thought this version offered some improvements without the drawstring but some gripes:
- the edging is a bit scratchy, it's made of some stretchy material that is definitely not fleece
- the width is smaller by at least 1 1/2 inches -- feels a little tight on my neck
- the height is smaller by at least 1 1/2 inches -- when drawn up for some cold ear protection, I feel that the base of my neck is a bit exposed
- stays up on my nose (or even over my lips) when the wind gets gusty
- much better than using a scarf for active purposes, does seem to have some give to the fabric

I have to review this in the most positive manner! I had purchased a neck guard from you about 4-5 years ago that I loved (I'm an outdoor exercise instructor). Then you redesigned them to be thicker and with a neck drawstring cord. yuck! Too bunchy and ridiculous to have to tie every time and have that string flopping up and down in your face. This design is PERFECT. Perfect fit, perfect shape, perfect everything. I'm buying more and have spread the word to my clients

Great for cold winters
I am very happy with the quality and fit. It is much nicer than I expected. It is far superior to my old one (not a Lands End product). It is also larger than my old one, so I am able to wear it higher up on my neck so that it covers my ears too. I am very happy with the softness and warmth. I live in an area with very cold winters, and have horses so I must be outside for long periods of time.

I got one of these as an early Christmas gift. It is very soft and comfy, and a good alternative to a scarf. Look forward to using this more as winter sets in.

Please bring back the Thermacheck 100 products!!!
This fabric is not comfy & soft like the Thermacheck 100 fleece was. Would like to see it come back.
