Pretty, but too fuzzy for a black coat.
We bought the hat and matching scarf in gray as a gift for our daughter and she really loved it. We heard from her after the first wearing and she complained that it covered her black coat with fuzz . Since then, she has had to de-fuzz her coat several times. I told her to hand wash it in Woolite to see if that helps. Haven't heard back yet.

Beautiful Scarf and set
I purchased the scarf, gloves and hat. The scarf is actually quite wide and long. You can almost use it as a shawl. The pattern is beautiful and the plain side complements the front nicely.
There are drawbacks that warrant the 4 ships. The scarf leaves a lot of lint, therefore can't be worn with anything black. Even a lint remover does not get all of the lint. The second is that is has an odd smell. I am sure it is part of the natural materials in the yarn. It may air out over time, but if you are very sensitive it may be hard to tolerate.
The gloves are very pretty, but I found after wearing them once, they began to get misshapen and look a bit cheap.
The hat looks nice but if you have a small head the top looks a bit pointed. You can't fold it over or you will see the inside, which looks like it is inside out rather than the other side like the scarf.
Don't get me wrong, the set is lovely and color beautiful. If it is used as a special occasion set and dry cleaned, it will be a nice addition to anyone's winter clothing collection.
