Great shape/style for a mature woman; better quality fabric needed
I consider myself a large petite (5'2" , 155 lbs) but the small petite (rather than LP or MP) was the best fit. The first pair I bought in black was so versatile and comfortable, & nice looking with tunic sweaters, that I bought another pair for an upcoming overseas trip. Unlike the first pair, the second pair began to pill immediately. That is also what happened to the another pair in the brown color. I am BEGGING Lands End to return to quality materials like pima cotton. I have several Land's end pima cotton tunic tops purchased years ago that remain silky and unpilled. I am willing to pay more for clothes that will last, and I get really angry about the use of cheap materials. Finally, the fit and weight of the Starfish tapered ankle pants is great for someone like me who find most leggings too tight and lightweight. The length is also perfect for me, whereas most "petite" pants are at least 2 inches too long..

Love these pants.
I really love these pants, however, they do fade. I really wish they came in more colors....ie. like summer colors.

comfortable
I liked the fabric--substantial enough but not too heavy. I have worn these to yoga class and then out to lunch afterward. They were appropriate for both locations. They are a bit short, though. I am 5'5" and would prefer them to be an inch longer.

Loved the fabric and color , but
I loved the fabric and the charcoal heather color, but the fit wasn't the best. I really wanted the Starfish Slim Leg pant but they only seemed to be available in larger sizes so this tapered leg was my substitute since I wanted the pants for a trip. The crotch depth was really short, therefore the pants only came to about 2 1/2 inches below my waist - not a very comfortable or flattering place. And the pockets added extra bulk where i did not need any ! Thankfully, I know how to sew so I lengthened the crotch by 2 " and sewed the pockets closed. I trimmed off the pocket fabric and now I have a nice slim pant. I would have liked about an inch more in length, but they probably would have been fine if I had not had to change the crotch length. I can't recommend this pant because of the changes I had to make. Now I see that the slim leg w/o pockets is available (at some point) so how about making them in a true brown.

Great pants but much too big
I love these pants. It's like wearing thicker leggings without being clingy. HOWEVER, I ordered a large which puts me in the size 14 category on most occasions....these were much too big! I believe that this large would fit a 16 to 1x comfortably. I'm going to have to exchange it for a small. Oh, well...a smaller size is always good for my ego. LOL!

I like that a stretch pant has pockets
OK since I've been looking all over for brown stretch pants, but not exactly what I wanted. Overall it has a good feel to it and fits ok. I know it said ankle pants but I'm used to a little longer pant. I'm sure I will get lots of use out of these pants. Just had to try something from the Starfish collection as they all look so comfy and dressy as well.

Very comfortable
I like the pockets. I'm 5'3" and I generally wear P M. I bought women's medium in these for a slightly longer length. Tapered legs are nice and look good. They fit big in the hips and thighs, though not enough to keep me from wearing them. Maybe a small would fit me better.

Great quality, wonderfully fitting pants.
These pants fit great and true to size. They are a heavier knit than most, which is nice in these cold Michigan Winters! However, they aren't too heavy - they are extremely comfortable and soft. This means a lot to me, since I have nerve damage in my legs. I can't wear jeans any more because of it. So after I found these, I ordered another pair immediately!! The cut is flattering too.

great pants
i love the fit , the ankle length is perfect for short people, don't have to hem them, I like the pockets, they aren't too bulky. They are heavier weight than other pants I have ordered and they don't bag out. took 2 pair to Europe in the fall and wore them everyday for 3 weeks. wish they had more colours, the brown is kind of reddish, charcoal grey would be nice.
