Love it- but, it pilled
I adore this dress- as others have raved, a nice skimming but shaped sihouette, dressy yet as comfy as my nightgown. I wore it a lot this winter and before long at all it started to pill. I have the heather gray and it may be that the non- heather colors don't pill, I don't know. It is a fine knit so they are teeny pills, still they make it look old after one season, I am disappointed in that. This is my first ponte and another piece I got at the same time did not do this, hope it is not a characteristic of the knit, because it is a nice substantial but flowing weight.

Awesome, flattering dress for the plus-size gals
I adore this dress! I own 2 - black and purple. It washes and dries (machine!) like a dream. Ponte knit is my favorite! It is substantial - heavy enough that it can be worn in cooler weather but not so much that I'll be miserable in spring. I am plus-size and mostly a pear but I do have a stomach (I guess that makes me an apple-y pear?), and this dress is perfect for my shape. The empire waist gives it a wonderful glide over my hips (about 10" differential between my waist/hips). I'm between a 20 and a 22 and the 2x fits perfectly. Now, full disclosure here - I do wear this dress with Spanx. But that's because I have all kinds of lumps and bumps. If you are free of this kind of topography, or if you have it but embrace it (power to you!), this dress could easily be worn without a shaper. I work in a conservative IT office environment and this dress is perfect. I am wearing it now in fact, with maryjanes and a sparkly vintage brooch, and - if I may be so unhumble as to say so - I look fab. :)

Looks even better in person than in the photo!
Beautiful not-so-little "little black dress". From the photo, I wasn't completely sure how it was going to look on me but decided it was worth a try.
The 2X fits 100% perfectly, which is no easy feat for me for a dress! (I'm 5'10" and usually wear a 22 top and 24 or even 26 skirt/pants.) It's so comfortable I could wear it as a nightgown, but it's too pretty for that! I just might have to order the gray one now, too. :)

Love Love Love this Dress!
I am a 1X fairly large-busted woman and I have this dress in three colors because I like it so much.
Living in Iowa it is the perfect winter dress as far as weight and warmth. Warning, because it has no darts, if you are large busted it WILL be empire waist height. With a wide belt you can get the look pictured, but usually I just wear it with a pretty necklace!

Elegant!
This is an elegant cut...hangs beautifully...(I am high waisted..)..the fabric is not my favourite.. fairly thick, and upper arms are snug ...but the wearing of it takes over ...the cowl neck just right...I bought the dark slate grey in p/m I can often wear a p/s
I haven't worn it for any length of time or washed it yet...though i had a compliment the 1st time I wore it out.

Great dress!
I purchased this dress in the dark grape color which is such a good alternative to the black and gray colored dresses that LE seems to feature in its dress collection. I purchased the dress in Small Petite and drapes well without clinging. I like the mid calf length especially for the fall and winter, accompanied by tall boots. The material is a nice weight and draping is excellent. The dress is versatile as it can be dressed up or dressed down casually. It is a steal at this price, with the extra discount LE offered. Highly recommend. Please LE offer more color choices other than the basic black or gray!

Very soft fabric. Fit true to size. Flattering design.
I really like the fit and comfort of this dress. Reminds me of the dresses I buy for my daughter from Land's End but for an adult. Like the color choices. Purchased black and will probably buy the grey one too. It fit exaclty like it should, not too tight, not too loose. I'm 5'4" and it falls several inches below the knee, even when sitting. Modest and comfortable. I like the neck design too - it's not as low cut as it appears in the pictures and looks very dressy.

Wish more colors were still available
This is such a comfortable dress to wear! The length is perfect. Looks great even without a belt. I went to buy a second dress and all colors in my size were sold. I was very disappointed, but grateful I got one dress! Please make more available!!!

Great cold weather dress
Love this dress. The waist line is a bit high but with a belt, cardigan, and boots this is a perfect outfit. The fabric is a thick knit, very comfortable. I bought this in purple and it is gorgeous as an alternative to a suit in a proffesional environment. The dress is a bit bigger than the closer cut styles but the belt easily solved this for me.

Perfect!
This dress is even better than I expected it to be. The fabric is substantial, but not heavy, making it the perfect weight for year-round use. I purchased it in black, and the versatility is incredible; it can be dressed up or down and worn for almost any occasion. The fit is just right - not to loose or tight - and the dress is very comfortable. Just looked to see if I could get another one in a different color, but they're out of my size. Land's End, bring this one back!
