i LOVE this coat
this is my first down coat and i absolutely love it. i get hot real easy so was always afraid it would over heat in a down coat. not so. i can even wear it while shopping inside without over heating. it seems to just adapt to whatever temp i am in. it is very comfortable and isn't bulky like i thought it might be. it is now my favorite coat. i find it does leak a very small amount of down but not enough to be annoying and the pluses of this coat far outweigh a few feathers.

Fantastic Coat, super warm, super comfy
I live in CA, so really I don't need a coat this warm, but my cats go out daily on a leash, which means I'm standing there watching them daydream and when it's below 60 I get cold. I have a Lands End fleece coat I adore so thought this would be good for frosty cat walking. And it's truly fantastic. I don't really need layers under it, it's super roomy for wearing in other climates, and feels totally comfortable. I took the fur thing off the hood. The neck can be tightened up with that high throat thing so no frost gets in--actually it's a bit too tall but then I'm too short. Only downside--one of my cats seems afriad of the coat. He's a character. I'd say buy this coat if you need a down coat. I have no criticisms. Oh--maybe if the hood were lined with fleece it would feel more comfy and less static. In any case it's WONDERFUL.

This coat fits me well, and I really like it.
It fits me nicely in the shoulders and armpits - even while wearing a heavy sweater. (This is a deciding factor for me when purchasing a coat.) The pattern of the stitching is very nice. It has 2 snaps in the back at the waist to make that area a little smaller. I wanted an affordable, nice looking parka with a faux fur collar to help dress it up a bit, and long enough to cover my rear. This is it! I love the fact that it keeps me very warm, but is not too bulky since it's made of down. It's perfect for a Chicago winter; especially on those very windy days. One of the reason's why I bought this coat is because I dreaded the walk at work to my building with the wind blowing across the parking lot. There's an open field next to the parking lot, and I have been blown sideways at times. I pull up the hood, and it blocks the wind beautifully. I'm not cold at all! I hope they keep making this style, as I might want to order one in blackberry. I have the black. They are sold out as of now - so what does that tell me? It tells me it's a great, popular coat. Which is why I also think that they should make it in women's S,M,L,XL. The web site states that this coat is exclusive to plus sizes. I am having trouble with the zipper though. It's wavy and doesn't pull up smoothly.

Parka is just what I was hoping for
Too often Plus sizes are too wide in relation to the length, but that isn't the case with this parka. The sleeves are plenty long, and the parka covers my butt. The size is big enough to accommodate a heavy sweater or a blazer, but doesn't look big and bulky. Unlike some other reviewers, I particularly like the double zipper, as it is more comfortable for driving or active exercise. This is comfortable, warm, and just what I was looking for.

Light weight, covers buttocks -- great for everyday wear
I have the Blackberry -- love the color. (I also bought the Women's Double Knit Nordic Scarf and hat in black plum/dark french orchid to coordinate with it.) Parka is soft, comfortable and warm, with ample coverage of the buttocks! Zipper works well, though I often only use snaps when running errands in and out of heated buildings and auto. For everyday wear and less bulk, I removed the hood. The tabs in back are too high to define the waist since they are up at my ribs; hence they are not useful but not removable as they are sewn in and there are two sets snaps on the body of parka. I haven't worn the parka much yet, so I don't know if it leaks down.

Love this coat!
Ordered at 6pm Wednesday evening and UPS delivered at 1pm Friday, so that in itself was great. When I opened the box and took it out, I was amazed at how light it felt. It was so super soft I actually cuddled with it for a few minutes, and the color is beautiful. Fit perfectly...by far the nicest, best quality winter coat I have ever owned!

light, warm and good quality.
I’ve got Atmosphere color end even if I’m wearing 1X so of course I don’t look like a blond model on the picture but those princess seams are flattering and I don’t feel fat and heavy. It’s very light, warm and good quality.
The only thing that I regret that it’s not a natural fur on the hood and I will prefere to have those big front pockets zippered as well but all together I’m very satisfied with my parka.

Great fit, wonderful warmth, and about that zipper....
I bought the pretty blue color and love it! This long parka keeps me warm, the hood protects my hair when the flurries fly, and so far, the pockets are holding up well. The zipper? Sticks a little at first, but when the teeth are rubbed with a dry bar of soap or the bottom of a wax candle, zipping is a breeze! Thank you, Lands' End.

Beautiful parka, love the hood, bad choice in zipper
I just got this two days ago and it's even prettier than in the picture. The dark brown is darker than in the picture and is a very pretty dark chocolate color. It fits nicely. I absolutely love the hood. It's so wonderful when it's windy or snowy or raining lightly to be able to pull that hood on. Also I love the fact that you can zip it right up to your chin. The arms are plenty long for me and the sleeves have a nice inner cuff to keep the wind out. Love the fleece lined pockets, too.
My only negative comment is the zipper is a double zipper, which makes it very difficult to zip every single time. I can see no reason to have a double zipper. A regular single zipper would have been much better, so you could just throw it on and go outside. I hate having to stop and try to get the double zipper zipped up every single time I go to take the dogs out. It is a big negative, but the coat overall is so wonderful that I am going to try and overlook it.

Very warm and cozy.
I bought this coat in a much larger size than needed because I wanted to be able to sit down in the car in comfort. It is very warm in the cold but not overly heavy to wear. I wish that the pockets were sitting a little higher up and were sturdier, I am afraid that they are going to poke through after repeated use (keys, change, etc). I was amused by the fact that instructions were provided about how to operate the zipper!
