With 600 fill power down, it's one of our best (and lightest) winter warmers. Plus the DriOff™ finish repels snow and wet. For added protection from the elements, our parka has hidden fleece cuffs, plus cozy fleece inside the pockets. (There is also a compartment to hold a handwarmer packet if you need even more warmth.) Finished with decorative snaps on the cuffs. Falls to low hip: approximate length is 32 1/2". Shell is 63% polyester/37% nylon; lining is 100% polyester. Machine wash. Imported.

Very warm Coat
I got this same coat in the shorter length in bronze and it's really beautiful. Not just beautiful, but it's warm. I am from New England and the bite here in the winter is substantial. I wore this coat out shopping several weeks ago on a 30 degree day and I was so warm, I had to practically keep it open.
The color is not loud or, or as the other reviewer said "garish" - it's not. It's a metallic bronze, but it's not "overly glitzy." The shawl collar is lovely and really remarkable in terms of warmth. I have never worn a scarf with this coat because it hasn't become necessary. In addition, if left up on the coldest day, it practically doubled as "ear warmer" on me. So I love it!

A great parka!
A great parka! I bought it in a silver color. Color is bright, beautiful and pleasant. High-quality, convenient thing. It fits true to size.

Stylish and fun
Nicely designed and good quality parka. It's warm. The shiny material in "gold" is pretty but not garish, a subtle sheen. Comfortable and cozy, excellent length for coverage and warmth. The only problem, and why I regrettably returned mine, is no hood. It rains here all the time. The sun is shining and 10 minutes later it's a downpour. A hood is essential 10 months of the year. Not a detachable one, nothing fancy, not for hiking or sports, simply a plain attached hood that I can pull up while the squall passes. The poofed shawl collar is attractive and if you don't need a hood, this is a great coat to keep warm on a cold day and look stylish.
Despite the "plus" size this coat does not make you look fat, in fact the poorly designed stadium squall this year is much less flattering than this down coat. I have tried and returned at least 6 coats to Lands End since October. There hardly is one I haven't tried and I must have a coat immediately. Because of all the "feather warnings" I am afraid to buy down. However, NOTE: there was no problem whatsoever with feathers or any shedding with this Metallic Coat. Seems nicely constructed.
