We went to Italy's master weavers to find this luxurious wool blend fabric. It's crafted for extra softness and smooth drape. We tailor it in a fashionable swing style you'll want to wear whenever possible. The sleeves are designed for easy-moving comfort and extra room through the shoulders. Fully lined with front slash pockets and a button-close inside chest pocket. 68% wool/20% nylon/12% recycled cashmere. Dry clean. Woven in Italy of imported yarn.

Great coat
I love this coat. The fit is great, the fabric is wonderful, and the little details make it seem like a much more expensive coat. To me, it's perfect. Okay, so you're probably not going to want to wear this up north when it's really cold and the wind blows up your sleeves, but you need to be wearing something warmer then, anyway. As for the length of the sleeves, I have average arms, and the sleeves are just right on me. The only bad thing is I got it just as winter was ending, and now I have to wait until next year to wear it!

Simply lovely
This jacket arrived today and I am very, very pleased. The fabric is exquisite, the cut is very flattering and the garnet color is rich. There have been some negative comments about sleeve length and that might be a problem for someone with long arms. My arms are just about average and the length is just fine. I already have recommended this jacket to others. It's a winner.

PERFECT for everyday outings and evenings
First the fabric is excellent quality and the cashmere adds a softness. Next, I LOVE the Bottle Green color as it's quite versatile with any color slacks for 3 season wear in colder Minnesota temps. Third, excellent detailing with satin lining. I like the shorter length for this Swing Coat. Fifth, the coat is not too heavy as I drive everywhere in this metro area, so I'm not outdoors walking often when I'd really need a heavier coat. Finally, I bought it on sale, so THANKS for a bargain. I've never ordered a Lands' End coat previously and I'm extremely PLEASED with this purchase!

Lovely coat if you have short arms
Only buy this coat if you have really short arms. The sleeves are unacceptably short for me. It's going back. :-(

Great coat...
I just got this yesterday so have not had a chance to wear it but, I tried it on and it fit exactly as expected. I have another swing coat from 2 years ago which I love which is the reason I decided to try this in a red (which is a beautiful red by the way). This new style does have slits on each side at the bottom of the seam which I'm thinking will ease the fit when sitting (which I did not see in the description). I am short (a tad under 5'3") so the sleeves fit me very well. I can see that for a taller person this would be an issue on this coat. I love Lands End and this coat is another great find....especially with the markdown and % discount.

Sleeves too short
I loved the quality and general fit of this coat, but just don't seem to be able to buy any long-sleeved woman's item from Lands End that has long enough sleeves. This coat road up 3 inches on my arm. I hated to send it back, but back it went.

A beautiful, very well-made coat, really nice fabric
This coat runs small, sleeves run short, and I have short arms. The red color is lovely. I normally wear a size 20W, and ordered a 22W and it is a little small, so have ordered a 24W to compare. Definitely worth trying to find the right size. Love the top stitching and the raglan sleeves. Cross fingers on next size up.

sleeves are short!
beautiful overall BUT it is not a coat for 0-20F when the sleeves don't reach the wrists! I had to take a look to see if I had ordered a petite after I tried it - I thought it was my mistake!
Since everyone here is commenting on the short sleeves, I'd either want to see the description changed and all of us who purchased based on the old description receive compensation (reimbursement of a percentage) or remake the coat and I'll send you the one I purchased back to LE and you send a normal sleeve length one to replace this one.

This is a beautiful 3/4 coat especially in red!
I found the fit to be good. I can usually wear a 20 or 22 in a coat and this has room to wear a sweater underneath. It's a comfortable style and I found the sleeves a bit short but with a sweater underneath it works fine. I love the colour, quality and style. I hope it wears well but I would recommend it for sure. Very classic style.

Nice coat, but...
The garnet colour is very nice and the lining of the coat (reddish black silk) is absolutely gorgeous! It has a nice little chain to hang it up too, which I was pleasantly surprised by. However, the sleeves were way too short (as the other reviewer said) and since I'm a tallish person, that doesn't work. When I lift my arms above my head, the sleeves barely go past my elbows! Not good for a winter coat. The other detail I wasn't crazy about is the big stitching on the seams/pockets/collar, etc. It looks very rustic for what should be an elegant coat. I should have zoomed in on the picture, but from far away, the coat does look nice. Oh well, back it goes!
