With all the dress styles that come and go, one stands the test of time: the classic shirt dress. Understandably so, since it flatters every figure. Ours has a comfortable, full-skirted silhouette. Pleats in the skirt are stitched down to eliminate “poof” at the hips. Best of all, you know this is one dress that will never go out of style. 100% cotton. Machine wash. Imported.

I love it Fits very well , love the color , quality as usual , fantastic , great for a casual day May 4, 2013
A great dress in a retro style with a current look and fabric Another reviewer sent the dress back as it was full of wrinkles when she unpacked it. It ironed easily and I wore it to work and it kept its shape. Lovely colour. I was complimented in spanish to tell me how well the colour suited me. The cloth waist tie can be replaced with a belt for another look. A great, easy and wearable dress/ April 28, 2013
Not the usual quality you expect from Lands End I love Lands End clothing. Everything we have purchased over the years, even if it was 100% cotton, did not wrinkle badly or even at all. However, this dress is a big ball of wrinkles. I read the review that said it was okay if you get it out of the dryer right away. Unfortunately, this has not been my experience with the dress. I dried it for a few minutes, and it was terribly wrinkled. The color is fabulous. January 21, 2013
I feel like SUCH a lady when I wear this lovely dress! The dress has an awesome fit and feel! The sway of the skirted bottom swings so freely that I feel like Marilyn Monroe must have felt when the wind blew underneath her dress when I walk. You will really adore your femininity in this dress! December 22, 2012
I love the color! The dress fits well and washes nicely, as long as I take it out of the dryer right away. November 25, 2012
Great dress only if you get the correct size! Based on reading the reviews and comments, I sized up to a 6 Regular rather than my usual size 4 Petite. It fit perfectly, lengthwise, width-wise and the sleeve length. I have to thank all the previous reviewers for their comments about the dress and even though this dress got a bad rap, I risked it and purchased it based on an analysis of the reviews. I have noticed in the past that some LE dresses gets a bad rap not because of the dress but because some women buy the wrong size or it does not suit their body shape which sometimes translates into a "bad" dress or the dress's/LE fault. The sale price and color were irresistable. The dress does not disappoint. I have a boyish figure aka no hips so this dress was flattering for me. I am 5' 2'' and 117lbs and the sizing and length were perfect. I prefer slightly over the knee length since the styling of this dress flares out a bit, any shorter I would stumpy. The drape of the fabric is soft enough so that it does not pouf out. It makes a great casual work dress and looks great with boots. I am grateful for everyone's comments. November 14, 2012
Great dress for work! I just wore this to work last week. I received many compliments on both the style and color (plum). I'm 5' 10" and about 150#. I had no problem with the tightness some are experiencing in the arms. I would have liked it to be a tad bit longer but that's just my own personal preference. Everyone else thought the length was fine on me. I wore it with black boots and a cute scarf. The sleeves are long so I rolled them up like the model is wearing them...very cute. Can't beat the price, either. November 12, 2012
Odd Cut I adore Land's End but sometimes you get something like this dress. I am moderately petite 5'4", so I always order petite dresses and pants... so the length was perfect... but the torso was way too short and the arms of this dress were far too small on my biceps. I am usually a size 4, but the top of this dress was just bizarrely small, especially since I just bought a dress this summer that was a perfect fit. I have an hourglass shape so the dress had great potential, but I could not get my arms in those sleeves comfortably. I also know if I ordered a size up, the waist would be too saggy and in a regular size, the length would be too long. The material is tissue thin, and does not match the long sleeves. If the sleeves had been cut normally, I probably would have kept it, it's such a great price and color. Back it will go :( November 9, 2012
Nice style, missed on execution The dress is a cute retro style, but the fitting wasn't quite right. Across the shoulders it was too tight and restrictive for the looseness of the rest of it. Quite roomy, *too* roomy around the torso; it looks fitted in the picture but it is not. The colour is more of an oxblood than an aubergine. Sadly, it made me look like I was wearing a nicely tailored sack. :( November 9, 2012
Odd cut and fabric I had high hopes for this dress, but after trying it on, I needed to return it. The fabric had a bit of an unflattering sheen, and the cut wasn't proportionate to my body (curvy). Back to the drawing board! November 1, 2012
