Most useless drawstring ever I have this as my "dear lord, my office is freezing" shirt. It is pretty much perfect for that--not the most attractive thing ever, but more so than say, a snuggie would be. The trade off of course is that it's also not as warm as a snuggie, but it's decent. That said, the MOST ANNOYING THING about this cardigan (okay, after the drawstring, which is like what? the hems of this fall loooong in the front, so that puts the drawstring around my knees? And the PERFECT length for getting caught on things or dragging on the floor when I sit, etc. I just pulled the darn thing out finally, and am happier for it. Besides, it's not like you can close it, so the drawstring was, I guess, purely decorative?), anyway, the most annoying thing is that it's made of an oddly textured fabric which snags on EVERYTHING. So it gets kinda...shabby looking pretty quickly. Like old cotton robe shabby looking, with the random loops of string, you know? Very much on the casual side of business casual already, and I've had it for like a month. May 30, 2013
Was HUGE I had to return this, it was HUGE! I could not really even tell how it would have looked on because it just hung there so big. I wish I'd liked it more. January 5, 2013
Comfy, slouchy and awesome I tried this on at the store and it won me over. Very casual and comfy but adorable when paired with a pair of tight black jeans or leggings. Beautifully made and intentionally oversized. Comfy chic. LOVE THIS! December 17, 2012
Like the design but funky fit When I saw this cardigan, I loved the relaxed attitude that it portrays, but after wearing it, I found that it's quite big and does not stay on my shoulders (with the open front and no closures). Unfortunately, it's not really warm either. I'm still playing with it because I like the design, but I don't want to wear warm clothes underneath to compensate for the material and fit. Great idea but perhaps a different material or one button at the top would solve some of the shortcomings? I will not be giving up on this cardigan, though. December 15, 2012
can't figure out how to make this work I'm desperate for a good-looking top layer to go with my wonderful Starfish pants and cotton-modal lace tops. This appeared to be the perfect solution -- looks great on the model -- and the description as the "perfect 'toss and go' topper" sounded exactly like what I'm looking for. Alas. Am still looking for something that is nice and long, has this sort of slimming open look (can be worn open whether or not it has closures), and comes in a go-with-anything neutral like this lovely alpaca color. But this isn't it. Somehow the hood-collar thing gets bunched up and looks busy, not slimming (how long did it take for the stylist to get it to look good on the model before the picture was taken??). And the hanging ties at the bottom, which might have been a great lengthener, also look busy without taking pounds off. Great try, but back to the drawing boards with this one. Please develop something that works well on top of the Mandarin Collar Tunic and other long tops!!! :) December 14, 2012
too big I should have paid attention to other ratings which also mentioned that this garment ran quite large. I am awaiting a smaller size so haven't had a chance to rate how it wears. December 8, 2012
Cute Yet Weird I am 5'2" and a size 2X. No doubt this is a lovely concept. Colour and fabric is great - hood is fantastic - side pockets are deep and functional. However ... as much as I like the concept and style of this cardigan, the fit is a little off. Someone said the shoulders are goofy and they had to continouslly adjust it so as to keep it in place. I totally agree with this! Sure, it is meant to be a bit slouchy and cozy - but the shoulder action was throwing it off! To make it work perfectly, one would need to very bony pointy shoulders for the drape to hang off of. I don't think many gals in the plus range have such shoulders ...:( I sported it with the LE plus size stretch denim skirt, black top, nylons, and shoes. Fantasic little combo, right? Sure -- but I spent the day constantly readjusting the shoulders! :( Would I buy it again? Sure - but definitely not at full price - perhaps at 60% off i'd drop some change on it. November 24, 2012
Looks better when belted I purchased a medium in this and it is very big. It looks better when belted with a large belt. When left open it looks a bit sloppy. It is fine for just hanging around the house in, but if going out in it I suggest belting it. The strings on the bottom are a bit odd and don't seem to serve a purpose. November 24, 2012
Lovely soft material I got the right size in this (extra small) and liked the feel of it, the drape of it and the warmth and comfort level. But, it only came in one colour and it doesn't suit me so very sorry to send it back. More colours please! November 11, 2012
I like the longer length and the fabric, but would rather it was not hooded and didn't have the drawstring. I got this mainly to complete an outfit with the pants of the same color. I like the feel of the fabric and the length which allows me to wear a longer tunic over the pants. I found that I was forever adjusting the shoulders of the jacket - mainly due, I think, to the weight of the hood which I will never use. The drawstring is too long and looks rather tacky. All over, however, I like the jacket for what I will use it. November 10, 2012
