Perfect!
Love this skirt and would buy in every color, almost did. This was my first time ordering swim from Lands End so I really took the measurements and am so pear shaped and long that I fit into 4 different sizes! So I ended up ordering 34 different pieces in different sizes and this is the best bottom for pear shape and for some coverage. It actually smoothed my bumps out and made me look great!! I measured a 16 waist and 18 hips and they both fit, but I felt more comfortable in the 18 and the panty line didn't show through on the hip. I also measure as a long torso but this skirt seemed just right. Also tried the 16W in one of these and I think it was a little too much coverage for me. I'm 5'9" 200 lbs 42 yrs old with 2 toddlers & 10 yr old so I need to be covered but still look like a young mother ;). Tried the mini mini and the shorts and they just were not as flattering on me, but I'm not in good shape!!

Wasn't happy with this one...
I bought this skirt because I have four small kids and sometimes want more coverage at the pool or beach. I was very disappointed when I tried it on. The skirt was great but the inside legs and panty part were so tight that it was uncomfortable and made terrible panty lines. If I had ordered one size up, not sure that the waist would have fit and I think the skirt would have looked huge.

Wonderful fit and so flattering
I am 57. My measurements are 29 1/2 waist and 35 hips. I am 5 ft. 2 in., 120 lbs. I ordered size 2 and it is a perfect fit. I was hesitant to trust the measurement chart b/c the size sounded so small, but the fit is true to the chart. It is very slimming and good quality. I asked for help from one of the consultants and found it very worthwhile to read their opinion. It is a great buy and hides the upper legs nicely.

6 SAILS!
Unbelievably flattering! I've never tried on a swim mini that fits this beautifully. I am a 16 and flabby and lumpy and these actually make me look good! WOW! I live overseas so it took quite a while to arrive and now that I am totally in love with this swim mini the colours are disappearing - I swear I would buy EVERY colour! :( The length is considerable yet (I'm 5'6'') not granny-like. It's sleek, slimming, and dare I say, sexy. If the length turns you off, try it in the petite. The tummy control is "gentle" but works and does not squeeze out any excess you know what over the top.

Just OK
I say "I would recommend this product," but it's with reservations. The skirt is comfortable, but it's long. Whether it's too long or not is probably dependant and your height and personal preference. For me, I was on the fence. I didn't try it out in water, but I suspect it might be uncomfortable to have all the fabric floating around you. I ended up returning it b/c I didn't like the top I got to go with it. If I had liked the top, I probably would have kept the skirt just b/c I liked it better than the mini swim mini, but not b/c I thought it was the absolute best bottom ever. It's ok if you're looking to hide your hips and thighs, but I wouldn't say it's the most attractive way to do so.
