Loved it!
Deep, saturated color and high quality, soft, warm wool---just what I needed!

Beautiful sweater
This sweater is absolutely gorgeous. Fits true to size, doesn't cling but also isn't baggy, remarkably high-quality merino for the price. It's soft to the skin -- no problem to wear just a t-shirt or camisole underneath. And it's super warm even though it's wonderfully thin. Great winter piece! I ordered teal and gray and am considering getting purple as well.

Flattering layering piece
I thought it was expensive, but I love it enough to buy another color. Lucky me, it's on sale. It's loose enough to skim my tummy bulge but doesn't look billowy. The knit is thin and smooth in a refined way, but not clingy. It's not bulky. I have worn it with a couple different colors of long sleeve layering tees. It should work well with a silky type of shirt or a turtle.

Go-to Sweater
I originally bought this sweater in merlot. The merlot is a lovely wine color that happens to work well with my coloring. I wore it the day after my daughter's wedding when we held a brunch for the family. After the brunch (and the 3/4 sleeves were great for working around the kitchen; no need to push sleeves out of the way and stretch them out), we made a 12-hour car trip to Northern Wisconsin to close up the family cabin. The cabin is a summer-only cabin, and outdoor temperatures (at 3 am when we arrived), were in the low 40's, so temps inside the cabin were also pretty nippy. I never needed a jacket for the whole trip, and ended up wearing the same sweater for most of the day we arrived.
The sweater held up beautifully. No bagging or stretched out wrists. No pilling, and it was really comfortable to wear the whole time, not that I would recommend doing that normally :)
I am looking forward to wearing the sweater to work. It was great with jeans (dressed up an outfit a little bit) and will be great with work pants as well. I liked the merlot so well that I ordered the teal, which arrived while I was away. This will be a go-to sweater for me this winter.
I do wish it was washable (I hate taking stuff to the cleaners and hand-washing always seems to end up with a wrinkly article that needs to be ironed), That's why I withheld a sailboat.
