Comfortable Classic

Fits a little big but does not affect the style
flatters my curves, the V neck is flattering, long sleeves great for a cooler evening. Wore it out to dinner and felt feminine and stylish. Bought it in red and wore with neutral stacked heels for a great look. The material has a good weight but still flowy and comfortable to wear.

Not the dress for me
This dress looks adorable on the pages of the catalog, but did not look adorable on me. The skirt has so much fabric it made me look very bottom heavy. The pockets on the side, while convenient, only add to the bulk of the skirt. It was not a flattering cut.

Wonderful dress, don't put it in the dryer
This is a great dress. The fabric is soft and just heavy enough to drape well. The pockets are a good size and you can put things in them without ruining the line of the dress. The length is perfect.
My only warning is to keep this dress out of the dryer. Mine has pilled slightly after just a couple of spins through the dryer. I will probably buy more of this style, espeically if Lands' End offers more colors (Purple? Red? Please!) but I will only hang it to dry from now on.

Comfort and simplicity
This dress is what I call a Monday dress: you can roll out of bed on Monday, have a quick shower & knock back a coffee, slip on this dress, add heels, simple earrings, your trench and a swipe of red lippy and run for the bus, knowing you look great. I got the black and am really pleased with its performance as a work dress. It's also very easy to care for and still looks fresh after some heavy duty Mondays and a few washes. I'm looking forward to layering it as the months here grow cooler; the deep v neck should work well with a cream tee peeking out, and also sets you up nicely for a bit of a Grace Kelly-style scarf. I rate the value of a dress by how comfortable it is and well it works with garments I already own - this one is very good value!

Fit Perfect
I purchased this in a smallP and it fit perfect. I often wear 8P. The V neck was not too low, I can bend over and pick up my 2yr old and not worry about anything being revealed or going awry. I also found the length to be just right at the top of my knee. I am 5'0 and 145 lbs mother of 3. I also really like the weight of the fabric with the 3/4 lenght sleeve. Living in southeast texas I believe I'll be able to wear this for 3 of our 4 seasons easily.

Exactly What I Hoped For
I wore this dress to work for the first time today and I have already received four compliments on it, so I had to do a review.
I ordered this dress in Pine in a 2X size. I was afraid that the cut would be too generous, however, the 2x fit perfectly (I normally wear a size 20 or 22 in dresses because of my apple-shaped tummy).
The material is excellent in quality and it drapes very nicely over all of my curves. The a-line cut is very nice. The green color is very refreshing, and I am considering ordering it in the black and gray as well. The only thing I might consider changing is the length (hits mid-calf)...however, it looks great with tall winter boots.
I look forward to getting a lot of use out of this dress!

Not for 'Apples' with big middles
I was hoping this 'draped' dress would camouflage my 2X petite big 'middle', but it really is made for trimmer middles. I ordered the Pine in a 2X petite and I loved the drape and the material weight (not clingy or flimsy), but I think this works better with 'X-sizes' that are hippy, not rotund. I will say that this dress, along with another wonderful piece I ordered at the same time, inspired me to redouble my efforts to lose at least SOME weight so I could wear this dress with my treasured emerald earrings, and not have it look tight or strained at ALL. I think this is a perfect work or 'going out' dress.

Love It
I have a hard time finding dresses that fit me without any major alterations which can be expensive and time consuming. I was thrilled that this dress fit me perfectly. I loved the fabric which was soft and comfy yet looked substantial and was not at all clingy. I bought it in black, added a leopard belt and jewelry and it was perfect.......lots of compliments.
