Women's Plain Front Classic Straight Boot-cut Pants
Sizing different from other styles
I'm in DESPARATE need of a pair of pants that fits, so I called customer service and asked for hips/waist/rise measurements on several different styles of pants. Based on that, I ordered 3 pairs, the fit 2 stretch trousers, the fit 2 straight leg, and the plain front classic bootcut. The sizing information told me that this pair of pants should have fit me the best because it had the smallest hips/waist measurements, but instead these fit the worst for me! The waist was huge (they seemed to be more straight through the waist/hips than the others). I think the difference here is actually the rise--it's a little longer on these versus the other styles, making this more of a true 'fit 2' (fits slightly below belly button). Overall, I thought the pants had a bit of a 'canvas' feel to them, although this is unwashed, and I wasn't very impressed with the khaki color.

weird fit ...
I like the fabric of these and the no waist style, but the thighs are too snug, a problem I have with many LE pants, and yet the waist was big, just a weird fit all around.

good quality, but high waist and inconsistent sizing
These pants are good quality and the fabric becomes very soft and comfy after a few washes. However, the waist sits higher than I expected. I was happy to find them in my size, but I had to re-order a size larger in black. The 00P in khaki and 0P in black fit the same-- very inconsistent sizing. Also, the black ones collect lint like crazy so I had to invest in a sticky lint roller. I am happy with them and I will continue to look for 00P Landsend products but I'm not sure I will re-order more of these same pants, unless they get some more colors-- lighter khaki and grey would be nice. One last thing-- they seemed long when I first tried them on, but they shrank to the correct length after 1 wash. This was true of the khaki and both the 00P black that I returned and the 0P black that I re-ordered.

pretty good..nice lines..bit on small size in waist
The pants were slightly on the small size in the waist only...and unfortunately one of the fasteners came straight off on first wear...easy to fix though so no big deal...line and look of the pants was great and material was comfortable

nice pants but run small
In most Lands' End pants, I usually wear an 8, and I can wear 6 in most dresses and skirts from LE. On these pants, the 8 was small, so I'll exchange for a 10. Besides having to exchange the sizing, I like these pants a lot. The fabric feels nicer than the chinos that are 98 or 100% cotton--these seem dressier and a little heavier in the weight of the fabric. I love the fact that the front pockets are along the top seam and not at the sides--they won't "pooch" on the sides like some pockets do. My office is a business casual work place. These will be great for everyday wear.

Did not work for my body type
The quality of the fabric and construction were great. For my body type, the plain front boot cut pants were not at all flattering. I am plus sized (thick legs) and tall. The waist came well above my belly button and were too full in the rear. The thighs were too small. When purchasing jeans I typically find the boot cut to be the most flattering. However, the Land's End Chino's were a perfect fit!

Hemming is not consistent
These fit well and while the fabric is a bit stiff, these will be nice to wear to work. I'm hoping the fabric softens with washing.
Biggest problem is that I ordered two pairs with 33" inseam, and only one was actually 33" long. The other is about 31.5", so I have to go through the hassle of returning and reordering.

For some reason, I just don't fit LE slacks or jeans. I am 5'2", 170ish and ordered the 16P in navy. These are nice crisp pants but the crotch was too low and pulled; the waist had that pooch in the back making them too big. They also don't have any stretch to them, so if you like that, you'd like these slacks. Someone will fit them and love them. They just didn't work for me.
