Thank heavens they're back!
I love these pants! I have 2 pairs of pants, and 2 pairs of capris in navy and black. I wore these pants almost exclusively this summer on an 8 week cross-country camping trip (Maine-California-Washington-Maine). The capris were a godsend in Utah, where the temps in Arches topped 106 degrees F. The capri length shaded most of my legs while providing for some air, and the amazing, stretchy fabric never felt clingy, just helped to wick away sweat. Wearing them hiking in Zion, the capris got wet but dried out quickly once out of the river and weren't uncomfortable as they dried. On to cool foggy coastal California, and the long pants were warm on damp foggy days, staying dry and toasty, where cotton pants would have been soggy and clammy. The antimicrobial treatment helped keep them fresh between laundromats as we traveled.
They fit my curvy plus-size shape well. I am short waisted so they hit my waist, but I am ok with that. The zipper pocket was a godsend for keeping my credit card secure, They look dressy enough when paired with a dressy top/jacket to take you anywhere, beach to city restaurant, and in ultra comfort. After 8 weeks of hard use they still look great, but I'm buying more in case they disappear forever. I am a notorious penny pincher, and find these worth every penny.

Eureka!!
The eternal search for a pair of great fitting, flattering, comfortable casual pants has ended since these Performance Active Pants arrived the other day. I am 5'2", 118 lb. and bought the XS reg. They sit just a touch below the natural waistline, have just enough room in the hip and thigh (close fit) and the length is great if I wear my usual running shoe (barefoot they hit the floor). The fabric is between a medium and light weight, and extremely soft. Quality is great. Wore them all day today doing odd jobs, errands, and school pick up. Went out to a restaurant on the spur of the moment and didn't feel out of place with these on. So comfy! Many thanks to all the previous reviewers as you helped in my decision to buy these:) Have there been capris and shorts in the past? Bring them on LE!

I LOVE THESE PANTS!!!
I was so disappointed when these were discontinued (last year?) I owned 5 pairs - 2 black, 2 gray, one black/white piping. I wore them EVERYWHERE, almost every day for 4 years. No pilling, kept their shape (even when I gained 20 lbs.) looked brand new. I would get compliments on them! With a nice top they were nice enough to go to a nice restaurant. Plus they were so comfy, not too hot/heavy, not too thin. I also had the capris (the old shorter length).
When I lost 75lbs. and the old size were falling off my hips, I finally bought one new pair this spring. Disappointed that they weren't available in tall (out of stock in my size.) I plan to buy several new pair in the fall. I'd buy the capris now if they were shorter!
Please please don't stop making these - they are the BEST pants ever, and they come in Tall (regular 30-1/2" isn't quite long enough, although at 34" I may need to hem them). More colors, shorter capris - that's my wish list!

Most comfortable pants ever.
Love, love, love these pants. They are so comfortable, and they don't wrinkle. The fit is excellent, and they look nice enough to wear to work. I live in them all weekend, because they're more comfortable than jeans. I lwear them hiking all of the time, because they're not confining. I wish they came in more colors.

Perfect!
These pants are the best. I've recently been disappointed with what I perceived as a decline in LE quality, but not with these! They are top quality, well made, fit well, wash beautifully and last! The fabric wicks moisture, making them wonderful for exercise or hot weather. I have the long version and ordered the capris for summer.
I've worn the pants with a nice top and couldn't distinguish them from my usual dressier pants. Great for travel!
Love the zip pocket for ID, etc when walking. Please make these forever!

Some differences, but still worth buying
I loved these Performance Active Pants. Bought three pairs in past couple of years and was glad LE just added another color, gray. This new pair is different, with the rise is almost 1/2" shorter (size Petite XS), thighs wider with more relaxed fit, and length is longer. The fabric is substantial though, and since the pants have always been so breathable and comfortable, I plan to keep these.

Great pants!
I love these pants -- I wear them for with just about anything because they don't look at all like "sports" gear, although they work fine for that too. I have both the full length and the capris, but be warned that the new, longer length capris are NOT flattering. I hope they bring back the shorter ones. These pants, long or short, are my "go to" pants year round. The black pair actually look like dress pants, with a nice sheen and excellent fit.. Only the little reflective white spot up near the waistband gives them away, and that doesn't show unless you're wearing a very short top. The material is also great -- not too thin, so it holds you in just right -- not tight or uncomfortable at all. I love the thick waist band because it holds in my stomach! I've had several pairs of these pants over the years, and they literally do not wear out unless you're climbing over rocks or something.. The grey version is not as "figure forgiving" because it's a pretty light color, but the seaming shows up better in the grey, and it's flattering even if you're a bit larger in the hips. I really wish these came in some other colors, especially the capris since they're perfect for summer when lighter colors would be nice. My only complaint is that I wish the pants were a little bit longer so they could be worn with casual heels or platforms.

Perfect!
I have been looking a long time for the perfect work out pants. These are it. They fit my waist comfortably and hit at my natural waist. Another pair I had bought from a competitor were way too low and there was an ugly belly flab hanging over the waist. Yuck. These on the other hand are very attractive.

Bring Back the Old!
Just went on line to check out the new Active pants to see if they might be the same as the old ones I ordered years ago. I still wear those. They are the very very best. Wished I had orderded more at that time. I still wear those pants. The longer pants I use for the gym and also as dress pants! The fit is great. The knees of the pants never "bulge" from wear. Still look great after all these years and through tons of washings. I also own a pair of the capris. They had a reflective logo on left side, made in Tawain, was 85%polyester & 12%spandex. Material and fit was just right! wishi Lands would bring these back again!! Ordered the new ones year/half ago made in Vietnam, I believe, was not the same,returned. I may try and order these new ones.

Best pants EVER
These are truly the most comfortable, most versatile, best-fitting pants ever. The black really holds its color, which keeps them looking like new for a long time. I have worn these pants to work, tucked into boots, to yoga class, to spin cycle class, around town on the weekends, for long car trips......they are truly the most go-to item in my closet. I am 5'4 and about 125 lbs. The XS is a nice fit and the regular length is perfect. Easy care, they come out of the dryer wrinkle-free. I have several pairs in black, gray and navy. I wish they would offer them in a charcoal gray. I am a frugal shopper, but these pants are well-worth the price for the amount of wear I get out of them. Love them!!
