Women's Pattern Linen Shirred Sheath Dress 4.4 5 44 44
Perfect summer dress This dress is really amazing - the fabric is very soft and comfy, it has a nice lining, and great details such as the exposed gold zipper up the back (which does not look cheap at all, but is very stylish and on trend). Although it is linen, I found the wrinkling minimal after wearing it all day at work. This is a great dress that can be worn to work, or dressed up for a wedding. My only criticism is I am not a fan of the fabric belt because it does not provide the necessary waist definition. I will be swapping it out with a leather one that has a bit more contrast. I am 5'4, 155 pounds, curvy with large bust/hips and the size 10 was perfect. May 25, 2012
So many compliments! This will be my favorite Florida summer dress! I wore it to church on Sunday and was almost embarrassed by the number of compliments. The fabric and cotton lining is cool and light. The print hides linen's inevitable wrinkles. The cut is flattering but not restricting. Nice to find a summer dress that is comfortable in the heat without being bare in the back. I'd purchase the same dress in another print if you offered it. May 15, 2012
incredibly cute! I love this dress! The linen is soft and hangs well. The print is clear and pretty. There are pockets! The size 6- land ends usual size for me, fits perfect. Its a nice length for my 5'8 frame. The zipper on the back is a modern looking heavier zipper with the most thoughtful little pull so I can get it up those last few inches all on my own. Great dress! I love the color and print on the dress, however the craftsmanship in construction is just not there. The zipper is a good quality zipper but it is completely exposed (ugly).....no where in any of the catalog photos could you see this. I would not have purchased it if I had seen this. I will be sending this back. Disappointed that I have to pay return shipping, when this was completely mis-represented in the catalog. Absolutely NOT perfect for a summer wedding, as described in advertising. July 23, 2012
The cut is too "granny" I've been watching this dress since it came out and was waiting for a sale to buy it. I'm 5'4'' and weight 130 lbs and I normally am a size 6. I ordered a size six in this dress. The fabric and colours are beautiful and the dress is of quality. Unfortunately, I was very disapointed in the cut of the dress. The top was fine but the waist was too big and the skirt was too wide. It felt very "granny". The cut o the dress is too wide and not modern enougn. I would have liked the dress to be more fitted without being too snug. July 22, 2012
Beautiful for a Garden Wedding I picked this out to wear to my niece's summer garden wedding. It runs a little big, but a nice thin leather belt cinches it perfecty. The matching fabric belt doesn't do the dress any favors; but a tan, brown, or black belt look lovely and makes a statement. The linen keeps you cool, and the flower pattern with exposed zipper looks hot; right on trend. I loved it so much I bought the wild cherry solid color version to wear for teaching in the fall. Loved the color, but it made my hips look big I have very small hips (which makes it hard to buy pants at Land's End, as even size 2 is a bit loose). Somehow this dress made my hips look big! The color was perfect, the top fit (2 regular), and I liked the style, but it just didn't hang right on me. July 14, 2012
Striking! I adore this dress. I've had my eye on it since it first came out, and finally nabbed it during a sale. It's beautiful in every way. I appreciate the fantastic construction. I love the "modern vintage" pattern. The cut is very flattering. I have a lot of LE clothes, and this is one of the very best things I've ordered! Get one while they're still around! July 8, 2012
Great sheath dress! I purchased this dress due to its bold colors...when I tried it on it made me look and feel good...size was perfit fit for me (5'6" 121 lbs)..I had so many people make a comment about the dress at work...makinng me feel really great....thanks for all the wonderful dresses at Lands End.. The standard for all summer dresses. I guess we have "Mad Men" to thank for the return of the classic sheath dress. I'm delighted by this one: the breathable cotton lining sets it apart from all others. I may be a bit short (5'3") to wear such a large print, but I don't care. Linen outside, cotton inside, AND pockets: it's perfect. I will say I don't see the appeal of the unhidden back zipper; is that a "thing" these days? Regardless; snap this beauty up while you still can. July 6, 2012
