Beautiful and comfortable I love this dress! It is soooo comfortable, and very flattering. I bought the sapphire color, and it looked great on me. Adjustable straps a nice touch. Well done! April 28, 2013
Delighted with how well this fit I bought this dress online, my first purchase with LE. It was a risky purchase for me because it is usually difficult for me to find dresses that actually fit. At 5'3", 165 lbs I am short-waisted and slightly more pear than rectangle/brick; being between sizes I sized up as I read reviews that Canvas line fits slightly smaller than regular LE sizes. I usually tend to stay away from pleats, but the structure of this dress accentuated what modest bust I have, gave me a waist, skimmed my hips nicely, minimized my butt, and fell just above the knees. I purchased the cobalt blue and am in love with the richness of the colour. I am very much looking forward to wining, dining, and dancing in this dress at our annual banquet next week! April 5, 2013
Beautiful dress I have this dress in cobalt blue and in black, and I love both, very beautiful, saturated colors. The overall fit of the dress is in line with the typical Canvas fit for me (slightly smaller than LE). The straps are adjustable, which I appreciate, since I am fairly tall (5'8'), I loosened mine almost to the max, but if you are more petite, you could shorten the straps. I agree with the previous reviewer who said that the dress requires a strapless bra, it is lined, but you still need a bit of shaping. I have machine-washed my dresses on cold and tumbled dry on low without incident - no shrinking, pleats still perfect. I wear these dresses to work with cardigans or blazers, and out to dinner as is. I really just cannot recommend this dress highly enough. Love! March 23, 2013
daughter's first "little black dress" - would love to have the blue one We bought this with the LE 40% sale offers as a 'black dress' our teen daughter needed for her school's holiday choir concert. Figuring out the size was a worry as she's tall and athletic-lean (but NOT pencil thin). She's a little over 5'9", and the size 4 was perfect - (not tight up top & not too short). The dress is lined nicely, but she definitely needed to wear a strapless bra. I had her add a short, top-button black cardigan for the concert, but this dress really hits the right balance of 'not too little girl' and 'not too grown up' for her (and her parents). You're not supposed to dry clean it, so I'm crossing my fingers that it will look as perfect after washing. December 10, 2012
