So pretty and so comfortable! There's just something about an empire waist that flatters every figure. And the flare skirt creates a soft silhouette that isn't too "poofy." The fabric is feathery-light. But don't worry that it's too sheer we added a full lining, so you needn't worry about hunting for a slip. Invisible side zipper. 100% cotton. Machine wash. Imported.

It is so nice to have a dress so just plain pretty...
I now have two of these dresses, in different patterns. I'm considering a third.
The fabric is lovely, draping well and with lovely colour in the patterns. The v-shaping in front and back is so summery and flattering, feminine without being too revealing. The cut of the armholes is very nice, giving a long look to the arms and there is no binding.
I have not worn a "short" skirt in probably 30 years, which tells you I am not a young woman. Neither am I a particularly small woman. The length of the skirt on me - not the height of a typical model - falls to just the bottom of the knee and is very flattering. It does not look like I have on my daughter's (or granddaughter's, heaven forbid) dress, even though the look is generally youthful.
This dress is comfortable, flattering and I feel pretty in it...I'm looking forward to wearing each of these dresses often this summer, dressed up or down with different shoes and cardigans when needed. It is going to be a very pretty summer....

Very pretty dress
The fit is perfect and empire waist flattering. The fabric is cool and breezy, very comfortable on a hot day. I chose the poppy pattern and was glad of the lining which provides good coverage. There are also tiny snaps to keep your bra straps in place - a very clever and useful feature.

Outstanding!
I may have a lot of dresses, but this one is STAND OUT! I got it in the mail today and put it on right away. Here are just a few things I like about it. 1. Excellent bust! I was really nervous about the cross-over bust and how it would gap, but it is not the case. Because of the gathering in the bust, it makes the dress look more evenly proportioned on me since I have a smaller bust compared to my hips. 2. Elastic gathering in back. This makes the dress so comfortable to wear. Even though there is a hidden zipper on the side, the elastic pulls the waist in and creates and lovely silhouette. I love the how the higher waist leaves space around my tummy and hip. Finally, 3. The style and fabric. Exactly the excellent quality I expect from LE. The style is perfect for layering. I actually wore it today with a t-shirt and cardigan on top. It was too cute!

nice
I bought this at the same time as the modal fit and flare. the fit and flare is perfect for me. I found the lack of stretch in this fabric made the bust just slightly too small for the cut of the dress (It should be a little loose on top) and the banding on the empire waist just a little too wide. my under bust measurement is the same as my waist, if that helps. it is VERY NICE, though, for a simple summer dress, well made and nicely lined. I'm keeping it wear around the house where the fit doesn't matter so much; that's how much I like it.

Beautiful styling
A wonderful style for women like me with a bit (actually a lot) of a muffin top. I am 5'6" and 140 pounds and the size 10 fit perfectly. Someone had complained about the arm holes being too big, but they were fine. A lovely dress, very lightweight. I purchased a 3/4 sleeve light-weight sweater to go with it.

summery fun
I like this one! The fit is flattering to most figures, the crossover bodice has good coverage, and the length is flattering to the legs. The only beef I have is you iron the material, go sit in the car and poof! Apron of wrinkles. Luckily the material is soft enough that they hide until they fall out. I received many compliments when I wore this to work last week. I may have to get another in a different color!

The lining of this dress was too small!
The main fabric of this dress was pretty but sadly, the lining was too tight. Since the lining is sewn into the same side seam as the zipper it would be very difficult to let out the seams in it or replace it with a different lining. Ordering a larger size would make the top/bodice part of the dress too big.

This will be my go-to summer dress.
So pretty and flattering, I can hardly wait for summer to arrive so I can wear this dress. I do believe it will be very versatile. The size 8 fits perfectly. I am 5'6", 125 lbs. The fabric is light and soft. It should be nice and cool on warm summer days. I am planning to wear it to an outdoor college graduation ceremony in June. Come on summer!

flattering and pretty
I was nervous about ordering a 10, even though it's my pant size, because I have broad shoulders and a wide chest. But the dress fit without restricting my movement. I got the pink dots pattern, and it is pretty- looks like a calico. I love the bra strap holders. Most of all, this dress flatters my figure, which is lovely after many years and many children- it looks youthful but not age inappropriate on me.
