Terrible Fit - too Small AND too Big
Come one LE, really? I'm 5'4, 125, 38-28-38 and I ordered a 6 Tall because I have long-ish arms. The chest and arms are uncomfortably small and restrictive and the waist is sooo big - I can grab at least an extra 10" in the back, and this was while wearing a tank top! Very disappointed b/c its a pretty coat. I'd order a size down but there is no way a smaller size would fit my chest, especially with a thick sweater. What a waste of a beautiful coat. If anything, most women prefer smaller fitting waist and looser chest. I don't know anyone with a body shape this would work for.

Great style but has some quality issues
I loved the style of this coat. However, there are are some quality issues. I purchased this jacket October 2012. So far i have had to replace half of the buttons - including the purely decorative buttons. The stitching on all of them is very poor and started to unravel after only a month or so of use. The coat does wear a bit small throughout the shoulders but otherwise fits well - and is very warm. I just picked up the coat from the dry cleaners and noticed that the underside of the buttons had turned from black to brownish red. These small quality issues will keep me from thinking twice about purchasing another coat from Land's End.

Love this coat!
I always read the reviews. I wish more people would add their height and measurements when reviewing. With this coat - some reviewers thought it ran small and others thought it ran large - I believe that's probably because of each person's individual measurements. I am 4'11", 145 lbs, bust 36D, waist 29, hips 38. I usually buy size 10 in LE, but always go by the reviews, so I purchased a size 12 in this. Fits me perfectly! No alterations needed at all, good fabric, styling and well made. I have had many, many complements. I will be ordering one for my mother today.

OMG! I Love This Coat!
I purchased this coat in Golden Amber 4 Petite as a Christmas gift to myself! I am 5 4" at 110 lbs and the size fits perfectly! I get so many compliments from friends and even strangers on the color/style of this coat. I have red hair and fair skin...I thought maybe this color would wash me out, but it doesn't at all! I highly recommend this coat it just helps brighten up our cold Midwestern days!

Fabulous Green Jacket.
I am 5'7 and 146lbs. I usually wear a 6 or 8. Landsend products run big for my body, so I ordered this jacket in a 6. It is perfect. I love the buttons, the length, and the color.

Gave it to daughter, but she returned it...too big.
We thought this coat very stylish and cute, but when she tried it on, she found it was just
too bulky for what she wanted, a dress coat. She is a 4 and we ordered the Small, but it did
not fit in the waist close enough for her taste. She likes the styling, but not the fit. The color she wanted was out of stock, too.

Great dress coat, even better bargain
Was looking for a nice, mid-length dress coat that would go equally well with skirts & dresses as well as pants & slacks. Wasn't brave enough to order the vermillion, green or amber so went with this one's version of camel called "vicuna." The wooden buttons at first appeared a little reddish but quickly grew on me. A lot of the reviews stated how this coat runs small, especially in shoulders, bust & arms and with thicker clothing underneath. I ignored and ordered my regular size and actually returned and ordered a size down as I felt it had a very generous a-line cut. It feels very opulent and looks very classic. A scarf is required with the collarless style, however, I've found you can skip buttoning the top 1-2 buttons and let it flap open for a more casual look. It is just a tad shorter than I had hoped for, hitting just above the knees on my 5'7" frame but I've worn it with both dresses/skirts and slacks and it looks nice and really pulls together a winter ensemble. I love the neutral palette that allows you to add color with scarf, gloves & purse. And the value! Cannot be beat. Thank you, Lands End, for another quality piece I expect to enjoy for seasons to come.

This is a fabulous coat!
I love this coat but I went through a lot to get it! After Christmas, I went online to buy it on sale, but all the colors I liked were not available in my regular size, 16 (Black, Juniper Green and Vicuna). Then I looked at the size chart because I read the reviews and was concerned it wouldn't fit across the chest. So then I realized I should get a different size because of my bust measurements. They had my third color choice, Vicuna, in the 16W and I ordered it. When I got it home, I tried it on and it fit, but it was a little too long in the arms and a little too big in the hip area. I had decided to keep it but then I went on a business trip to Atlanta. While in Atlanta, I went to the mall close to my hotel. Parking spaces were limited, but I finally found one by the Sears. I walked through to get to the mall and noticed they carried Land's End clothes. I went to see if they had this coat and was soooooo happy they did. I tried on my regular size 16 in the Black and it was too tight across the bust and shoulders. Then I tried on the Juniper in the 16 and it was perfect! I am thrilled I found the perfect one but I am surprised there was such discrepancies between the 16's in the store and the size chart online. I love Land's End but I think they should work on perfecting their sizing!

Fabulous!!!!
After having brain surgery in 2010, the scar has left me unable to wear collars. I was so excited to find this nice coat. The quality is superb and what I expect from Land's End. I might need another one. :)

Vermillion is burnt orange
I thought the Vermillion coat was going to be closer to red but it's burnt orange without a hint of red. Don't go by the picture. The coat is cut small across the chest. I returned the coat to Sears and after trying on several size 8 black coats found one that was cut large enough through the top to be able to wear a sweater. The material and style are both beautiful. I wore the coat once and received several compliments.
Very happy to find one that fit well. I'm 5'5" 133 lbs size 8 reg.
