Looks Great but poor quality zipper I always buy a size smaller in Lands End coats because they're sized to go over thick sweaters. I'm normally a size 10 top with big bust but the small fits me perfectly. The belt is very long so you need to tie it or remove it altogether, which is fine because the coat looks good either way. My only complaint is the zipper is not smooth so can be difficult to use. March 25, 2013
Comfortable..... I love the way it fits. After reading the reviews I decided to go a size down than what I normally purchase. It's so warm and not bulky. I really love this coat. The only thing I am not too happy with is the zipper. Not sure if it is just my coat, although it's a little difficult to zip up. Hopefully it just needs to be warn in. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. March 6, 2013
Jacket is warm when it hit 30 below The jacket is warm when the weather is like the artic. I didn't give it five in the rating because the belt is basically useless and only for decoration, you can't tighten it only so many holes in it. The hood is also too big and I didn't like it until the other day when we had -30 degrees out and with the wind chill it was -40 degrees, the hood kept the wind off my face so it did not freeze when I walked my nephew to the bus stop (I live in Northern MN and schools don't close until it is -40 degrees without the windchill). I decided the hood was great and haven't minded it is a little big since. February 3, 2013
Perfect Coat I don't usually write reviews but I felt this coat was getting some undeserved lackluster reviews (although beware that some of these are due to understandable size issues) I love this coat. It is very stylish, and this is something I am fairly particular about. I was shocked by how warm it is--feels to me to be warmer than my knee-length North Face 600 series coat. This coat has great details--the fleeced-lined wrists are so soft. There are maybe not enough pockets, but there are double pockets and in internal mp3 player pocket. The belt hit me at exactly the right spot. (I'm 5'8") The hood is large, but I can still see with it when its down and I like how cozy it makes the coat feel. Overall, this is a beautiful, warm, and well-made coat. January 8, 2013
Cosy jacket I was very pleased to receive this jacket. It is as cosy and wonderfully warm as advertised. Its a perfect lightweight solution for this feather-allergy sufferer. The only complaint I have about this jacket, and frankly, all the other great jackets I have from Lands' End is the size of the hood. I have a fairly large head, and I still find that the hoods are unwearable. It falls over my face, covering my eyes, making it impossible to wear. I like a coat with a hood for those times where I don't want to wear a hat, or where I'm caught unaware of needing one. Can't we do something to reduce the size or at least put a drawstring in? As a result of the oversized hood, I'm giving this a good rating, where I'd want to give an excellent rating. November 28, 2012
Great fit, light weight yet warm, wonderful quality. This jacket was much more than I expected, I love it! It is not heavy, yet its warm in our cold Canadian winter climate, it is well constructed with a solid metal zipper, warm cozy fleece storm cuffs, nice flaps that snap around your face to keep the wind out. Completely satisfied with the coat and the speed in which my order was filled and delivered. November 23, 2012
