Extremely disappointed
I bought two of these (size medium). They are extremely thin, and very stretchy, like tights. Out of the package, I thought they were children's size. And they are so stretchy and thin, in fact, that once on you can see right through them...like tights. I bought a "cheap" merino wool sweater from a big box store for 2/3 the price last year that is more substantial than these. Also note, I am 5'7" with fairly long arms, yet the sleeves are fully 5 inches too long, and the hem comes to mid-thigh. Okay as a base layer, I suppose, so I'll keep them, but I would NOT recommend them.

Just OK
I purchased this sweater for layering in the winter since I always feel cold. It is fairly thin and is OK for inner or outer layers and is indeed very soft to the skin. The arm and torso lengths are very generous (I wear between XS and S, and bought the S). I wear the sweater once a week for a month or so before washing on wool-safe cycle in a front-load machine, and it has held up well after three washes. One problem is that the weave is fairly loose. I splurged on the purchase of this sweater in the hopes of avoiding the pills that cheaper sweaters get; this sweater has not pilled much after 4 months, but the loose weave makes it prone to pulls. Not bad for Merino at this price, but there might be better merino sweaters out there.

Fabulous Sweater
I order this in the wine color in the fall on special, and recently picked up the grey and red at my local Sears on sale. They fit well and are made of a fine, soft yarn and have a subtle heather coloration. They layer easily, which is great if you are someone who is always cold. Shrinks in diameter when washed and then stretches back to original size with wear. Would not have paid full price for them. Very happy with them and hope they give me many years of wear.

Too sheer
My bra shows through the fabric. Returning. Fabric needs to be thicker.
The burgundy is a pretty color, though.

Warm layering piece
When I read the reviews commenting on how thin this merino wool sweater is, I knew it would be perfect. I needed a thin but warm layer to wear under my big Aran sweater for ice skating. This is just the thing!
Note: the heathery red color is really a straight-forward red.

Fantastic and versatile
This fits really large so I took a smaller size - and even that is generous. It is a lighter weight merino; wonderful quality knit, but not so heavy that you will be sweltering. I am stocking up on the black, because this is a terrific basic for fall through spring.

Fits well just after washing, but does stretch out
This sweater is beautiful after just being washed (lay flat to dry) and fits well at first. However, towards the end of the day the neck has stretched out and is floppy, and the sleeves for some reason (worse on gray heather) stretch very long as well. Sounds crazy but since I have 2 of several colors, I change into a different sweater after 4 pm to get the same look as just washed. Material is thin, but not see-through with right undergarments.

Perfect turtlenecks for layering
These turtlenecks fit true to size. I bought three, each in a different color. They are lightweight, great for layering. But they also keep you warm. The quality is exceptional. They can be worn with casual jeans or dressed up with a jumper. Love them!

Love this
Fits well. I am 5'7", 127 pounds,small-busted, and got a size small. Fits close without being tight. Merino comfortable against my skin. Is thin, but not sheer.
