Description

A novel neckline meets one of nature’s softest fibers.

  • 100% merino wool
  • Subtly shaped, feminine silhouette
  • Distinctive neckline makes it ideal for layering over a shirt
  • Cuffs and bottom trimmed in rib knit
  • Long sleeves
  • Mid-hip length

With its deep, slightly rounded V-neckline, it’s fun, versatile and easy to accessorize. Even better, it’s made from ultra-soft merino: finer, softer and more resilient than other wools. Fabric feels very soft I don't yet know how this sweater will wash, but it arrived today and was exactly what I wanted in fit, color (gray), and line to go under a cap/ short-sleeved top in cooler weather. After trying it on I thought I'll also wear it topping a sleeveless white shirt I have, and it should coordinate well with black and darker charcoal bottoms either way. For the sale price I'm very pleased and cross my fingers it will wash well. May 25, 2013
Nice sweater This sweater works great over a white shirt. The merino wool is thin but it keeps you warm. The colour is rich. My only problem was that the sleeves were on the long side and one sleeve was a bit longer than the other. Probably needed better quality control but I kept it anyway. April 13, 2013
love it! It's lightweight, soft and fits great. I just love the way it feels. On me, the plunge is not too deep to wear alone even though it looks like it is. So I can wear it be itself or with something underneath like the model. Very pleased! March 2, 2013
Love! Just as pictured:) LOVE IT! Very pretty in Purplette Heather and pretty on the body -- it fits me exactly as pictured on the model and it's becoming and unique with the deep v neck, which falls no lower on me than the model and is a nice spin on a v. Excellent quality wool. I also bought the purplette heather cotton modal lace top to wear underneath. I will be ordering more colors! Will be great with jeans on weekends or skirts/pants for work:) January 10, 2013
Very thin knit, droopy, saggy I just received this sweater today, and will be returning it. Besides ordering the wrong size (regular instead of petite), I find this sweater to be an extremely thin knit, which makes it cling awkwardly to whatever is under it, and I don;t think it will be very warm. The neck is too wide - - a U, not a V. The drop sleeves add to the drooping, saggy look. Overall, it looks sloppy, not casual. So I won't be re-ordering in petite. January 4, 2013
Merino wool excellent quality Great sweater. I love the lightweight merino wool, great when pairing over a shirt. I have worn the sweater a few times now and it holds it shape and no pilling. I also bought the merino wool turtlenecks from LE and love those as well. Very soft. December 9, 2012
Very disappointing - seems to be poorly constructed I struggled with whether to rate this as fitting too big, or too small! I got the purple in small, and immediately as i pulled it out of the bag I knew something was wrong. It looked... uneven! I'd read the reviews about "bat wings" and man, they were right!! It went from tight at the waist to very wide at the "drop shoulders", which for me were almost at my elbows, but the worst thing was one of the "wings" was shaped differently than the other!! no amount of tugging or twisting could even it out. The V neck was absurdly low... I love a deep scoop, and was planning to wear this sweater layered over an oxford or T (it is very very thin, but I was okay with that), but when I tried the bottom of the v was hovering about an inch above my belly button... it looked weird!! lets see, anything good to say? the wool was soft and the color lovely... that's about it. I can't help but wonder if the thin fabric stretches when the sweater is being constructed? That could account for the bizzare uneven bat wings and uuber deep scoop on mine, while other people recieved sweaters that look more like the one on the model. December 8, 2012
warm in color and texture This purple sweater is a polished layering piece that warms up all my black, blue and grey basics. The low neckline offers nice options for variety via the under layer; I wear either a white, grey, black or printed cami with it as my mood and laundry basket dictate. I have a white cotton shirt that would also look well. The sweater itself is thin as you'd expect from merino, but in our Oregon climate thin layers are great for fall-early spring. December 8, 2012
Suits me I don't usually buy wool sweaters of any kind anymore as they make me itch, and I would be far too hot in them (unless I plan on being outside for longer periods of time)--however, I have reconsidered thinner wool sweaters and merino wool is usually tolerable. This particular merino wool or threading has not made me itch. I bought this sweater primarily for the thinness and the openness--as I also don't like sweaters that are tight around my neck or so thick I can barely move! :D. I have no idea where the 'bat wings' comments are coming from unless the size that was ordered was too big? There's a slight 'bat wing' effect, but that's the design of the sweater--and I kinda like it. I only wish I waited to find this online, since the sale price is cheaper than the sale price at the store. But, to be honest, I probably wouldn't have ordered this online if I wasn't able to see and feel it on the hanger. I doubt I'd buy another one..I got the yellow/mustardy colour. not sure that's the best colour for me--maybe better colour options would be nice, but, oh well..and, if it wears out because of its thinness--all the better! thumbs up from me. Yucky drop shoulders What I didn't realize about the drop shoulders is that the sleeves are actually raglan-style sleeves. I'd thought the shoulder seam was just partway down the sleeve but, no, the whole top of the sweater is extra wide and therefore out of proportion and baggy looking November 26, 2012
