CHEAPLY MADE and REALLY AWFUL
The fit was just fine. Lets move on to the quality and color. I ordered Ivory and the shade I received was more pale yellow or looked as though it was old and had yellowed over time. The cashmere was ultra thin and I could see through the sweater to my bra. I would have to wear a camisole to correct the sheerness. When I first purchased LE cashmeres they were beautiful in every way, they were even shipped with a cotton bag for storing them or packing when traveling. If I wanted a cheap, scratchy sweater I could buy one at a discount chain store! Lastly the turtleneck didn't "hug" my neck. I expect more from LE but I guess like many retailers today their interest in customer satisfaction is no longer as important as saving money on material and labor.

Disappointed, too
I have a couple of Land's End cashmere sweaters that are at least 15 years old and have been washed often. They have less pills than this turtleneck I’ve had for three months. Additionally, this sweater seems to have grown each time I wore it. The Lands End quality I'm used to is just not there any longer. I took it back to Sears today for full credit.

Disappointed
I have a Land's End black cashmere turtleneck that is 18 years old, washed many times, that is still as beautiful as the day I got it. I bought a green cashmere turtleneck in December. i have worn it three times, and although it is a little big on me, it has gotten even bigger each time I have worn it. The wrist and body ribbing has stretched out. I will keep it to wear as a layer under something else but I have to agree with other reviewers who say the quality is just not what it used to be. I also bought a black cardigan at the same time as the green turtleneck and the wrist ribbing is fine on that one but the neck has gotten larger and is sagging.
I don't think I would recommend the Land's End cashmere any longer.

Excellent quality cashmere!
My husband purchased this sweater for me for Christmas. The quality is excellent and it fit perfectly! I am 5' 9' so many times, sweaters are short in the sleeves and length. This sweater was perfect! I will purchase more.

The best cashmere sweater for the money
I buy these sweaters every year, and cannot tell you the compliments that I receive. The colors are vibrant, the fit is perfect and they are a great weight, not too heavy or hot.

These sweaters last forever
I probably own more than 10 lands end cashmere sweaters, bought over a period of time and in every color and neck style. I actually wash them in the washing machine using Woolite for the soap, a gentle wash and luke warm water. I lay them out to dry and they look like brand neew by the next day. I get comments on the sweaters every time I wear them. My husband also has a number of the Lands End cashmere sweaters and he loves them as well.

Great basic sweater
Fantastic sweater! What can I say, I own 5 of these sweaters, they are great layering pieces and am able to wear with jeans, slax & casual skirts. Love this sweater.

Beautiful sweater; ran a bit large
I needed a sweater for a holiday party; I bought one at Macy's and one from Land's End. The quality of the Land's End sweater was far superior to the one from Macy's, even though the prices were similar. The Land's End sweater ran just a bit large, however, so I returned it, because it needed to be a perfect fit.

Pills easily
This is a soft sweater,, but it pilled badly the first time I wore it. My sweaters from two years ago did not do this.

Good fit and color, but thin fabric and floppy neck
I love the fit and feel and color of this item, but the fabric is thinner than in the past and the turtleneck is very floppy and curls over when I wear it. Very disappointing, as I've had much better luck with Land's End sweaters in the past. I'll be looking elsewhere for a better quality product in the future.
