The handle twisted
Both handles are twisted. Instead from the middle( the half circle), the handles are joined from the both sides of the bag. So when you carry it, the handle just couldn't stay smooth. I think this is really very bad design, and it is not worth to pay even the half price let alone a full price.

I love it!
I bought this tote specifically when I travel as I can get everything into it that I would need for a day. I bought the bag with the red trim, so my husband could more easily find me if we get separated in a crowd. In both cases the tote is just what I need and was not disappointed in the least.

So, so pretty, but flawed design
I adore and love this purse. It feels stylish and professional, but laid back at the same time. It looks great - the linen and the leather are absolutely beautiful, especially in combo.
Unfortunately, the straps were very poorly designed. The direction that the straps hang pulls the straps apart at the seam where they meet the purse - I would always expect more from Land's End and especially a purse of this price. After 7-10 days of normal use, this has happened to two of these purses. I'll be returning this purse, but I'm definitely heartbroken about it since I love it so much.

This bag has a nice look - looking closer and handling it, the handle/strap is the problem
Initially I was excited about the look of this bag and ordered it when I first saw it in the catalogue. I wasn't sure which size would fit me so I ordered both. I was drawn to the "look"; it has a more "hand-bag" than tote look with the leather trim. It comes with a dust cover, which is cool, but the draw back is the handle. When you put it on your body - shoulder - hold it, you will see that the attitude of the stapes coming off the bag into the handle is awkward and does not flow well, which I felt over time would not wear well. The overall quality of the canvas and leather does not justify the asking price. Land's End does not manufacture this bag - you should because you could make such a superior product that we would buy and would justify the price. Sorry, I returned both . . . . please make it yourself, I'll buy it.
