Warm, warm, warm. I love it! I love this coat! It is warm and light weight. I am always cold and always have to wear hats to keep from freezing. This coat keeps me warm and toasty. It blocks the wind and sheds water and snow. The adjustable hood looked a little strange on me after I adjusted it, but it keeps my head and ears warmer and blocks out the wind better than any hat I have ever worn. I love all the pockets. There are so many I sometimes can't find things in them because I can't remember which pocket I put items in. The fit was perfect for me. I'm 5'3", 212 lbs and I purchased the petite XL. I can even wear a big bulky sweater under it without the arms being too tight. My only criticism would be that even with the adjustable waist the coat isn't shaped much around the waist to provide a feminine look for me. But I am warm and that is more important to me, especially when standing around in weather in the tens, or when I'm outside shoveling the snow. Overall I am very pleased and I would definitely recommend to a friend. February 6, 2013
Okay Jacket The zipper gave me a lot of trouble with this jacket and generally, I do not like metal zippers which this jacket has. Also, the front flap over the zipper features velcro strip closures (oh no-these are lint collectors) The color is okay. I keep a candy jar full of Skittles on my desk-and the color looks exactly like a green Skittle . The jacket body has a lot of insulation-but the side seam pockets are shallow; I guess due to the front patch pockets already in place. (Why not just eliminate the side seam pockets altogether?- (they are nearly useless anyway). I never tried the hood-although I did pull the waist drawstring to see if I could ease some of the fullness around.-but the jacket is big: too big on me. I ordered the Petite Small (5'2"-104 lbs) and I like to have room in my jacket-but there was too much room , esp. in the shoulders; even with 3 sweaters underneath. The velcro, the seam pockets and the metal zipper were negatives to me Yet, the outer shell fabric is tight, durable, wind and waterproof without being inflexible or crackly. Overall, I would not consider trying this in a smaller size February 5, 2013
Prettier Green Then I thought it would be The green was not my 1st choice nor, my 2nd or 3rd choice. Bought it because I wanted a warm, washable, waterproof coat and a good price. The green is much prettier then the picture showen. I was hoping that the green would not make me look like the "Jolly Green Giant" and it does not. More like a John Deere Green; what can I say, I grew up on a Big Farm. Don't know what people are talking about the pockets being too small? Seems like nice pockets to me and lots of them. This jackets seems to be warm and made well. It was sent out reg shipping but got it in 3 days; FAST! The size seems to be right; not too small nor too big. I believe I will have it for many years. I look for coats that are made well don't, like to keep buying coats over & over. January 10, 2013
