When winter comes, it’s us versus the elements. The goal is to keep the cruddy stuff out (cold, wind, rain, snow) and warmth in. Our legendary Squall® Jacket is up to the challenge. As part of the famous Squall clan, it’s equipped with all the features needed to take on the harshest forecasts — a waterproof, windproof shell, cozy fleece lining, extra insulation, even a storm flap for added protection in front. There are plenty of comforts too, such as soft fleece inside the collar and pockets, adjustable cuffs with interior rib-knit cuffs and a chinguard to prevent nips. Drawcord hem helps block cold. Princess seams add slight shaping through the waist. This jacket does its family name proud. Machine wash. Imported.

warmer than expected I thought this jacket was warmer than I expected and was not as long in the body as I would have liked. I have a long body so need something fairly long. I probably would have kept this jacket anyway but there was a defect in the sleeve where the inside fabric was twisted so I couldn't get my arm into the sleeve. I tried several times to fix it but it needs to be taken apart and re-stitched. I returned it but think it is a nice jacket for windy, rainy, colder days. May 29, 2013
Squall Coat I haven't had a chance to wear it a couple times and so far it's what I expect. April 21, 2013
Warm, comfortable, and fits well This coat is wonderful. I live in the city where I walk and bus everywhere. This coat is so warm and perfect for the rain and the snow. The fleece lining is so cozy and I love that it even lines the hood! I am 5'10", 150 lbs and I ordered a Medium/Tall - it fits perfectly and the sleeves are just right. I would definitely recommend this coat to anyone looking for a warm and comfy coat. March 6, 2013
Great jacket for walking the dog First I'll say that my husband and all three kids have worn squall jackets for years. I own other Lands End jackets, but never found the Squall very flattering. We got a puppy this fall, so I decided it was my turn to get the squall, for walking the dog. I have to say, it's pretty great. Rain, snow, cold wind, whatever, I just grab my squall and I'm out the door with the pup. Zipping up the neck and putting up the hood really saves me on these cold winter days. I wish it had the thumb cuffs and sleeve adjust ability that my kids jackets have. Great jacket for walking the dog and staying cozy. Wish it were more fashionable. February 17, 2013
Good jacket but runs small This jacket is the usual high quality Lands End Squall, but it runs small. I have consistently worn size 16 or size large Lands End tops, including several Squall Jackets I've owned over the years, all in size large. (which I still wear with "typical winter clothing" with a good fit). However, the size large (14-16) for this jacket was so tight (with just a t-shirt) that I could hardly move. The XL fits better, but is still tight enough that it would be uncomfortable to try to wear a sweater under it. So the temp range is misleading. I wore it today at 15 degrees F (and no wind), but with just a heavy rugby shirt under as I was shoveling snow and needed to actually move while wearing the jacket. It was comfortable at that temp, but I certainly would not want to be standing at a bus stop or otherwise not moving much in any colder temp. This is unfortunate for a winter jacket that is described as appropriate for a turtleneck and sweater to be worn underneath. But I do like the features, including the adjustable hood, which allows one to adjust the hood so it doesn't fall over your eyes. But too bad it doesn't have a double zip zipper. With the rather snug fit, you have to hike it up to get your hands into your jeans pockets or sit in the car. February 11, 2013
Georgeous green and size a bit off for 3X measurements Love, love, love this jacket! Green is stunning and wonderful with grey fleece. Jacket is longer than shown, it fully covers my behind and I am 6'. Princess seaming and pocket placements are flattering, too. Bust area is smaller than expected and I would have liked the sleeves a bit longer. Warm but not toasty in the chest and arm areas at 30 degree windy weather. However, the hood connection is great to keep the neck well protected and warm. While there were things less than ideal for me, the jacket is a keeper, especially at the reduced price. The green color is so rich and wearable. It makes even the most dreary days happy ones. February 1, 2013
Why is the body so small? I was happy to find a squall jacket in a color (green) I liked at a reduced price, but is the reduced price due to a jacket fit that is different than all the other colors? The jacket material and finish were what I expect from Land's End items, but oh boy, this jacket was like a salami skin on the body! I had high hopes for this jacket, but it's going back. ;-( January 24, 2013
Neck not like my old squall parka I'll start with the last...I have NOT worn it. The quality was fine, as far as that goes, but the pockets are not in a comfortable place, and the worst part is the neck. It felt as if it were choaking me! The closure is nowhere near soft enough, so it doesn't bend over; and I guess my neck must be shorter than those they used as models for this jacket, though my old one is fine. On top of all that, I got this for myself for Christmas, and when I tried it on, everyone said the color wasn't a true red and didn't look good on me. All in all, I'd have to say the jacket isn't comfortable on me and will be going back as soon as I can get to a Sear's store. Unfortunately, it will cause the cost of the other parts of my order to go up! January 17, 2013
Great Winter Casual Jacket This is a warm, comfortable coat that is easy to move around in. I moved to central Pennsylvania from North Carolina, and I recently became a stay-at-home mom. My nice, beautiful winter coat that I used to wear every day for work (also a Land's End coat) was suddenly too fancy and not as practical for running errands with my kids throughout the day. This is the perfect solution to my daily needs, whether it be running to the bus stop, running to Target, or sledding with my kids. My husband had actually given me a nice Columbia ski jacket for Christmas, but it was too heavy and bulky for me to throw on quickly, and it didn't fit me nearly as well. So I ended up buying this jacket in the Lands End Sears store during an after-Christmas sale at 60% off, and what a deal it was! I found that it fits pretty true to size. The arms are still big enough for me to wear light sweaters or sweatshirts under. I also love the waterproof exterior - even when my baby girl spits up all over me (this happens often), it comes right off of the coat. The hood is a great addition, and it is one of the reasons that I chose this over another Land's End coat. I would definitely recommend this to my family and friends! January 17, 2013
Couldn't Love this Coat More!! I love, love, love this coat. Its super warm without being bulky, and I live in WI so it gets cold here! I wear it everywhere. It's a tad tailored at the waist, so it doesn't look like a blah athletic-style coat. And I got the green, which is super pretty. The photo doesn't do it justice! January 16, 2013
