These sweatshirts are not traditional sweats. They're designed for a woman's body with slightly shaped sides and a less boxy fit. Pull-over style complete with kangaroo pocket. Smooth jersey lining in the hood for comfort and to reduce static. Rib knit cuffs and hem. Prewashed to maximize softness, minimize shrinkage & feel like an old favorite right from the start. 80% cotton/20% polyester. Machine wash. Imported.

Comfy and warm
Ordered the cobalt blue a few months ago. It was pretty big when I first tried it on (normally wear medium, and I ordered that size for this item.). It shrank a little after the first washing, and now, while it isn't form-fitting, it isn't overly baggy, either. Material and color are very nice, but my only qualms with the sweatshirt are the high neckline and the fit. I wish it were a bit more fitted and modern, but I still like and wear it, just the same. Maybe if I order another one in the future, I should try the small?

Nice feminine fit
This sweatshirt has a nice feminine fit that's very flattering. I found it fairly true to size, even slightly a bit large. I ordered a Small and a Medium thinking the Medium would be the one I'd keep but it was really not as flattering on me ( 5 ft 2 and 130 lbs) so I kept the one small and ordered 4 more in different colors.
My one NEGATIVE comment is that they tended to FADE out after only a few washing s and in COLD water. Especially Burgundy and Evergreen. I love those colors, so it's a disappointment they didn't stay true.
A little overpriced, too. I think they would be a better value at around $25 or less. Lands End merchandise has gone way down in quality and consistency since SEARS acquired the company. Everybody knows it and several comments have been made about it. I doubt well ever see any improvement because we still keep coming back!
I have been buying and RETURNING so much stuff over the past few years because of this...where I used to be able to just buy a trusted item and rely on fit and quality.
It's a shame .

Comfy, well-made, washes well, classic style
It is rare that my 20-ish daughter and I (a 55-ish mom) wear the same article of clothing. In fact, I believe this sweatshirt is the only item that both of us have loved since the minute we put them on! They are just as described, very comfortable with the usual Lands' End attention to detail. I have two and have washed them both several times and they have not shrunk. They retain their softness and color too after being laundered. I've searched in stores for something similar and have come up empty. I think this is a great value!

Great cozy sweatshirt for hanging out
I love my sweatshirt, it's a nice heavy weight and very soft. The front pocket is great. I ordered one size up for a very roomy fit. I'd love it if this came in spring colors- especially light pink or blue, or coral.

This shirt is a disappointment
These shirts are not made from the old sweatshirt fabric we all know and love. The old sweatshirts we once purchased from Lands End were heavy, warm and came out of the laundry soft and snuggly.
This shirt is a thin, poor fitting imposter. Don't waste your money on this one ladies.

Very warm, good color, the fit was good except the neck area was a little small...making it harder to get on and off.
The neck opening at the top could be a little bigger. This sweat was hard to get off and on. But once past that, the fit was good. Very soft and warm. I wore this sweat shirt shopping and while I was outside putting up Christmas decorations It was very easy to move around in.

Not really "designed for a woman's body"
This sweatshirt is comfortable and warm for a lazy day around the house or for working outside when the weather gets a bit chilly. However, it is not something I would ever wear in public: it's unflattering, frumpy, and sloppy-looking, with a too-high neckline and tons of extra material all over. Even though it's supposedly "designed for a woman's body", I still feel like I'm wearing my husband's sweatshirt. I bought the smallest size available, but it makes me look very, very large; I would say the fit is comparable to a men's small or medium from any other manufacturer. I would only recommend this sweatshirt if you aren't concerned about the extremely casual appearance.

Nice quality fabric, not flimsy. Good fit, attractive color
This is a top quality sweatshirt that I think will last a long time. It is very cozy and well cut. I don't look like I'm wearing my husband's sweatshirt; it's much more becoming.
