Great Boot!
I love this boot, I wear them everyday and they are so comfortable. The heel height is just right. I purchased them in black back in Nov. Now that they are on sale I will purchase the brown.

Quality Boots
I got these in black in a 7.5, due to no availability of 7 wide at the time I ordered them. It seems there's some now which I'm a little disappointed about but it's ok. I think they fit very true in the width and maybe just a bit long in the length. But they are very comfortable to walk around in, I find the heel height just perfect. They're not too high, but are great for wearing with longer pants. I think the leather around the ankle is a bit stiff, but I believe over time they'll soften up. Even after just one wearing they're easier to get on and off. I thought the zipper on the outside might be a bit weird but I think it's just fine looking, although it is a bit harder to zip them. But it's not so hard that it's a problem. Over all the quality of these is what's convincing me to keep them, they're really, really nice.

Too narrow and stiff
I was disappointed after trying this pair. They are too narrow and somehow felt like 1/2-size too small. I love the look and have no problem with the zippers. But the leather is so stiff that I don't believe that they will ever stretch. Unfortunately they will have to go back.

Great boot
I wholly recommend this ankle boot. It's not only comfortable, but the built-in supple shank feature hidden in the zipper prevents the boot from being stiff or heavy in the leg. I only wear boots and these right now are a terrific buy, particularly since a wide size is offered too, which is great if you wear wool socks in the winter alot, like I do. The fit is true to size and the toe cut is a little western which is a nice change from the current fashion; there's a barage of rounded-toe riding boots in vogue right now. The heel is nice too -- sturdy and not too high. The black goes with everything -- plan on ordering the tan too.

One of the best boots I ever owned
I bought these 6 months ago and once the cold weather started I of course began to wear them. I find these boots to be very comfortable. I was a little afraid the heel was too tall as I can no longer wear higher heels without lots of pain hours later. The quality is great and someone mentioned the leather too stiff. Not sure why that was an issue as I have been wearing these for four weeks and they are holding up very well. They look great and stiffness not an issue. Someone complained about the thick zipper. Well why did they buy them and then give a bad review. It's just a matter of taste and I like the style. I am VERY picky about my boots and love these. When they go on sale I am getting another pair!!!!

Leather too stiff; zipper too massive
This boot was not comfortable. The zipper seems too clunky, & I felt like the upper part did not conform to my leg in a way that seemed comfortable when walking. I would not recommend this boot.

I love these boots!
These boots are exactly what I was looking for. They aren't too narrow and are comfortable even when you are on your feet all day. I have gotten a lot of compliments on them as well.

Beautiful, stylish boots
These boots do run a little small, as other reviews have noted. I ordered a 9 wide, and I typically get an 8.5 regular from Lands End. If you adjust for that, you should be OK. The leather is very fine and beautiful and the quality of construction overall is good. I got the dark pecan, and it is exactly as pictured, which makes it versatile. The heel height is perfect for me - high enough to look a little dressy, but still good for winter wear. I like the zipper being on the outside, because I think it adds a little bit of a design element to an otherwise plain boot. The only complaint I have is that, in the right boot, there is a rough spot where the seam is that rubs on my ankle; therefore, I need to wear these with heavy socks to avoid irritation. That's why I'm glad I sized up a bit.
