Beautiful, Bright Skirt I love this skirt. It has accordion pleats, which are very in style. The color really pops. I think you can dress it up or down depending on the shirt you wear. I would be careful, however, as if there is too much bulk tucked it, it will make you look wide. I like to wear it with a navy t-shirt and chunky necklace. Very cute. I'd totally recommend this. Umm....no The skirt itself is gorgeous. The colors really pop, the material is soft, it's really pretty to look at. The problem is *wearing* it. I'm a size 2 5,5, 124 pounds, very lean but in my 40s and this so did not work on me. It gave me a stomach where I haven't got one, the waist was very high so the length was just above my knee -- I felt like I was trying to relive my high school cheerleader days. So, no. This did not work for me, but I would recommend it...for the younger (<25 years) and pin straight people. October 25, 2012
Unfortunate waistband and length I was excited upon taking the skirt out of its packaging, because the pleats and colors are a lot of fun. However, I am a bit hippy, and my hips combined with the thin waistband made the skirt balloon. Perhaps if the skirt were below-the-knee, the long lines could have made this a flattering hourglass sillouhette. With the hem hitting where it does (a bit higher than in the picture, as I am 5'10") it left me looking like a ex-cheerleader trying to squeeze into her years-old uniform. Disappointing. Love the skirt, but confused on how to clean it This skirt is adorable. The colors are vibrant, and the fit is true to size. I am 5'9" and it hits me just above the knee. It works for work and for the weekend, and I expect to wear it often this fall. However, there is one major problem (that unfortunately I didn't notice until after I wore it the first time). The skirt is machine washable, which is normally a huge plus in my book, but these accordion pleats are going to be a nightmare to iron. I thought about just spending the money to take it to the dry cleaner's rather than deal with ironing the pleats. Then I looked at the tag and noticed it says "Do not dry clean." What?? I'm not sure why Land's End thought it was a good idea to make a skirt with such complicated pleats a non-dryclean item, but I wish I had known that before I ordered it. September 19, 2012
Beautiful and Stylish This is such a great skirt and good quality, especially for the price. It's the perfect length, vibrant colors, lightweight and classic and trendy at the same time. You can easily dress it up with a more tailored silk blouse kind of look and stylish pumps, or dress it down by throwing on a chunky sweater and boots with tights or socks. It's also good across the seasons. I found that it fit true to size September 15, 2012
Very Pretty! This skirt is gorgeous - beautiful colors and a lovely drape. However, I think it looks a little frumpy in the photo, mainly because it's paired with a casual button-down shirt - not a very chic look, IMO. This style looks best with something fitted on top. As for fit and length, I'm 5'5"/105# and the size 0 hits at the top of the knee. While accordian pleats are everywhere now, this one is especially beautiful. I can't imagine not liking this skirt!
