Inspired by Alpargatas, the simple shoe first seen on rural Argentine workers in the 1830s, we bring you this state-of-the-art version — a shoe so lightweight it’s almost like wearing nothing at all. Adorable, trendy, super comfy,even for my foot injury
I have plantar faciitus and recently had a hip replaced, so I must usually wear structured athletic shoes with $60 orthotics...until I found these. Unbelievably comfy. I am an 8, but I always buy size 8.5 to accommodate my insoles. Even with insoles, a little large, so try to go a half size smaller when you order. I solved the problem by using my thickest insole and it fit like a glove. I can switch to thin insoles on swollen-feet days. Anyone who finds them too big can just grab a pack of inexpensive insoles and solve the issue. I signed on to buy several more colors (I bought the khaki with the navy heel and bought the other ultralight style in the indigo stripes. Both shoes will go great with my "heavy on the navy and bottle green with some yellow" spring wardrobe). As I was reading reviews, I wanted to share the idea about insoles, since several women mentioned they ran a tad large but didn't want to return them. The only down side to the insole idea is that then you don't get to enjoy the memory foam. However, if time and money are tight, the insoles can be the answer. I love the shoe, grabbing a metallic silver and purple pair before they're gone! Just for perspective, I am 54 (not in my 80s) ...the hip replacement was the result of a car crash. I plan to wear them for typical warm season activities like my work as a writer, shopping, art museum, movies, helping with the granddaughters. Nothing half as fun as Disney vacations!

Amazingly comfortable and so lightweight!
I followed the advice of other reviewers and ordered a 1/2 size down and it is a perfect fit! When you first put the shoe on, it feels a bit snug at the front, but once your foot settles into the memory foam bed, it is a great fit. So light it is almost like not wearing shoes at all, except you get the comfort and support of the memory foam insole! I will be ordering these in other colors - I really love this shoe!

These shoes look and feel cheap
I've ordered much from Land's End over the years and this is the first time I've purchased something that I felt was not up to Land's End quality. The shoes felt flimsy and looked like something I could purchase at a discount shoe store for much less. They are going back.

Awesome!
I love these shoes! They are perfect travel shoes, especially with all the walking at the airport and they are easy to take off then back on at the security check. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Comfort and Style

Best shoes ever!
Super light weight, comfy shoes, very stylish shoes. I took them on a trip and walked every where without first breaking them in and they didnt pinch or leave my feet hurting after hours of walking. I bought a pair of them for my mom and I'm also ordering a pair for my aunt. They are that comfy.

Burned twice by these shoes
I tried a pair of these shoes last year and wasn't happy with them, but decided to try another pair. I love the look and feel, but what has happened is after a week or two the bottom starts to separate. There are colored nubs on the bottom and they start to come apart. If they were 10 dollar shoes I would understand, but I expect so much more from LE.

Great summer shoe!
Love the denim fabric with the stripes. The tread on the sole is perfect for walking on uneven surfaces and well cushioned. The inside is soft and springs with every step. They look great with jeans and capri pants. I wear an 8.5 and found these to fit just right.

versatile, lightweight shoe
Following other reviewers' suggestion, I ordered a half size down, and that worked fine. i got the khaki and navy blue skimmer which goes with many summer outfits and is comfortable as well.
