I love these shorts.
I have several pairs of these shorts, and I live in them every day. They are extremely comfortable and fit great. They also launder easily.

Comfortable, but nice-enough-looking for a casual party.
Very comfortable fit, with an above average quality of fabric. Although a knit, this definitely NOT of sweat pant material. The first pair I bought was for a picnic I was attending, where I wanted to be comfortable but look nice. Both criteria were easily met. I subsequently ordered a 2nd pair in a different color. These shorts can be dressed up or down, depending on selection of top and footwear. (I also own the full pant-length version!)

Great shorts -- fit great, keep their shape, not too short, not too long, launder well, travel wonderfully! I am a definite fan!

super great pair of shorts
These shorts are fabulous. i brought a pair of the Khaki's and they go with piratically everything. I like the slightly longer length. the fit is super comfy. I almost wonder if i should have ordered the smaller size. for sure recommend these shorts to any and everybody:)

Very disappointed
Last year I ordered two pairs of these shorts and almost lived in them all summer! The fit was comfortable, yet stylish enough for a casual barbeque. This year I wanted to supplement the colors and ordered two more pairs as well as a pair of capris. I knew as soon as I saw the package that these shorts were made so differently-TO THE NEGATIVE. There was no stlying to the shorts; they looked like a pair of boy's boxy gym shorts and they fell below my knee. I called Land's End to assure that I had ordered correctly and these were the exact items minus the new 3 fit. The representative and I went over the numbers on the garment tags three times. The only difference that I could see was that they were made in a different country.
I remain very disillusioned with this product.

These run very big! 1X and XL about the same.
I wear a 2X or 22 in women's, a straight shape (not curvy hips.) I first ordered these in a 2X petite (petite because I was concerned that the rise would be too high, and they would sag in the crotch.) They were so big that I could pull them all the way up to my bra. I reordered them in both a 1X and XL. The two are practically the same - about a 1/2 inch more material around the leg opening and maybe an inch more in the hip with the 1X - which is not much of a difference given that they are stretchy knit. I kept the XL as they are cheaper than the 1X. I have other Land's End pants/capris in 1X and 2X, so I find it frustrating that the sizing varies so much. I am happy with the shorts now that I've found the correct size. They are comfy and have pockets - something which is hard to find. I do a lot of walking for exercise and need a pocket to carry my cell phone.

Most Perfect Shorts EVER
These shorts love the middle-aged female body. I purchased a pair locally just to try them out. I usually wear a size 8, but sometimes 8s are snug depending on the style. I bought a size small (6-8) and they fit beautifully. Full coverage for Those Areas That Must Be Covered, as comfy as pajamas, but still stylish- not frumpy at all! Bonus: I look a whole size smaller. I just bought 4 more pairs in various colors online. YOU WANT THESE SHORTS, TRUST ME!

Plus size shorts
Length is slightly longer than pictured, comes to top of knee on my 5'4" build, which I prefer. Fits comfortably, got them for working out, but look good enough to go to the mall.

Good quality
I really like the quality of the fabric and construction of the item. I'm still not sure I will keep them. They are a little longer than I prefer. I would like to have them just a little shorter.

Love these comfortable shorts. Easy wear, easy care. The right length for me. Especially when I don't wear capris.
