With their sleek shape and pick-stitched front creases, they remind us of those awesome ski pants from the 60s. (Minus the stirrups, thankfully.) And the fabric is something special: a stretchy, yet cotton-rich ponté knit. Soft, supple and slimming, these Lands' End stretch pants won’t suffer from “saggy seat by lunchtime” syndrome. Which means they’ll flatter all the time. 40% cotton/28% nylon/27% rayon-modal/5% spandex. Machine wash. Imported.

At last! A Fit 3 pant that isn't BAGGY!
These pants are absolutely fantastic--slimming, comfortable, flattering, and even practical, because the 2 pockets in the back are a decent size! I LOVE pants that have a high rise--I am a photographer, and believe me, if you want a long, slim line on the lower half of your body, this is exactly what you want. A lower waistline simply shortens the overall vertical line of the lower half, and generally speaking, the longer that line, the more flattering.
These pants have no extra "curvy shaping" or anything else that will bulge out. I realize that that is what Fit 3 usually is; I guess I wish they had a Fit 4, for women who enjoy the long, lean look of pants with a high rise, but want them to be slimming.
Sizing in these is right on--the size 2 was perfect at every point, and even long enough for me at 5'7". The large amount of cotton in the fabric prevents them from having that awful "artifical" feel, and they washed beautifully. I didn't let them dry all the way, because I can't afford to have them get any shorter, but also, a quick touch-up with the iron eliminated what few wrinkles there were. I wore these all day while shopping and they were very comfortable; I'll be wearing them soon on a long flight--will update this review if any surprises turn up, but I'm hoping not. These could also be worn at a casual party or to the office--they have a very "neat" appearance. Look great with a jacket or long sweater!

Fit big
Wow these pants are big! I ordered a size 6 but realize I probably needed a size 2 for them to look slim! Now they just look bulky and wide and my backside looks really wide!
I guess since they are very elastic it's better to order a smaller size for better fit!

is it LE?
After I bought Ponté Ankle Pants, I thought it would be nice to have another pair for work. Alas, these pants turned out to be shiny and feel like totally synthetic, pin-tuck stitching is flimsy (it torn after 2 washes), length is at least 2 inches longer than usual Regular length I ordered before. I'm afraid this is a faux-Lands'End.

perfect
I just bought three kinds of pants to see what would fit best. These slim Fit 3 were the best. i am 5' 7" and about 175 lbs - size 12 was perfect. I also tried the tapered starfish ankle pants (medium) and the regular fit 3 cordoroys (medium). They fit but not nearly as well as these slim pants. i don't have much of a waist so the elastic is great, but i also don't have a lot of hip, so the slim cut is perfect. my only gripe: i came back to buy more and there aren't any! i hope lands end sells more of these in the future.

Definitely NO Dress Pants
These shouldn't be in the dress pant section. As a "starfish" style pant I would give them 5 stars, but these shouldn't be advertised as dress pants, because they are not!

Best pants ever!
These pants are by far the best pants I have ever owned! I am an apple shaped size 16 -18, 5'8". I purchased these in size 16. Fit was right on. These pants are high enough in the waist that they don't roll down. No "muffin top". No extra material bunching up at the hips. Very slimming. Nice and thick, dress them up or down. They wash and dry beautifully. No pills after dozens of wearings and washes. Love, love, love these! But so disappointed they are no longer available in my size. Please bring these back Lands End!

Perfect Pants!
These are the best fitting pants I have bought in years. Didn't think I would like the front seam, but I don't mind it. My hips are proportionately larger than my waist and this wasn't a problem with these pants. They don't cling, but do flatter. The 32 in length is a smidge long for me (I'm 5'5"), but again, it doesn't seem to matter and I have choices in shoe height. Every time I wear them someone asks if I have lost weight. I wish they came in other colors so I could buy another pair. They wash beautifully, too.

Straight, Not Slim
Not even vaguely slim. Straight leg, if anything. I was hoping for a truly slim dress pant to tuck into boots or go with a long shirt/tunic, but these aren't those pants, alas.
They seem well made for what they are, and I'm keeping them because of that. Easy, pull-on dress slacks. But they get heavily dinged for the misleading name.

Great fitting pants!
I really like the fabric and fit of these pants. Good quality fabric. The only bad thing was the length. I ordered the regular and had to hem them, cutting off several inches. The petite doesn't work well in the stride/rise. Since the pants looked good and fit well I thought it was worth it, rather than returning them.

These pants fit perfectly and never lose their shape.
The Ponte Slim Pants fit perfectly, are sleek and comfortable, and hold their shape. As soon as I put them on, they reminded me of the ski pants I just about lived in in the 60s, minus the stirrups. A great addition to my wardrobe. I can wear them with a pretty blouse or a loose, casual top. I can wear them with a sweater. Love these pants!
