best fit pants from Landsend
I'm size 6 petite with a 31" or more waistline. Because of the adjustable waist, these pants fit my body's proportions the best out of all the Landsend's pants that I've purchased in the past, which have included the Fit 2 chino trousers (stretch or straight leg), Fit 3 rigid jeans, and Fit 3, 7 day pants (non- elastic). I really like 'hidden' feature of the elastic waist, the functional front pockets, and the fit at exactly waist level (not below it). I bought all three colors. It would be great if Landsend has these pants available in other colors such as black, brown, olive, grey or dark grey, denim blue. I'd love to get more of these pants if more color choices are offered.

So disappointed that I can't order more!
I purchased these pants in true navy a month or so ago and LOVE them. Finally--slash pockets on the 7-day trousers and hidden elastic! perfect for me as I'm losing weight but hate elastic waist pants. I have several pair of the regular no-elastic 7 day trousers, but needed new pants in new sizes as I'm shrinking. I had hoped to purchase several more pairs in several colors.
I don't like the tiny pockets on the traditional 7 day style--was thrilled when these came along. Now I'll just have to keep looking. :(

Great pants! Too bad you're not restocking
These are just what I was looking for - twills with deep side pockets, belt loops, and NO back pockets! Too bad you've decided to discontinue. The hidden elastic made them fit similar in the waist and hips to the 7-day hidden elastic crops (item #412049), but the side pockets made these fit better through the upper hip than the 7-day trousers with front welt pockets (item #391761). I hope you'll take the best of ALL three of these styles into consideration when designing any replacement 7-day twill trousers. A) Elastic waists (adjustable or not) need only be partial on pants with button/fly/zipper openings. 2/3 of the waistband on this item #428399 and 412049 is elasticized, and when adjusted will gather 2/3 of the garment. Instead, place the adjustable elastic only in the exact spots as on plus sized 391761 (on each side, 2" in width, just behind either side seams. This will give a couple of inches of waistband stretch and will pucker the waistband only in the least noticeable area, allowing the waist to lie flat across the center back and full front. B) Thank you for NO BACK POCKETS on 428399. Women never use back pockets for anything, not even a Kleenex, because no woman wants to add to the size of her behind! Cutting a welt slit above each cheek, then adding fabric to reinforce the opening and adding 2 more layers of pocket fabric for each pocket ruins the drape and line of the pants and makes any tailoring in the back/waist impossible. Pocket openings pucker after wash and never again iron flat. Back pockets for women should only be on jeans (decorative yet useful patch pockets/easy to get things in and out if you so choose.) Save money on construction costs and eliminate back pockets on women's dress trousers. C) Deep front slash pockets (428399) are far better than useless skinny shallow front welt pockets (391761.) Full side on-seam pockets are best of all. You offered these on twill pants I bought 5 years ago and they don't open wide when sitting or bending forward. D) OFFER IN TALLS. Your tall pants line-up in dress pants has been very shallow for several years. We talls need the extra length in rise as well as in length. Hope you're listening to a 35-year customer.

Do you have any idea how many jobs require black pants? Or how hard it is to find black pants that actually fit?
These are the only pants that fit me, but because they don't come in black they are not suitable for my job. :(

Terriffic pants!!
Just received mine in khaki and stone this morning. LOVE this elastic waist which can be adjusted just in case you've had more for dinner than you were planning on!! I am a size 6, especially in the hips, but my waist is not always a 6 - more like an 8, which is another great reason for the elastic! They are very flattering, and the hemming was perfect. I'm keeping this receipt in a safe place in case I need to order more. Highly recmmended!!
